"Ascalon" is the name of the spear that St. George used to kill the dragon. At the same time, it follows the increasing pattern of ATK/DEF of the previous 3 dragons. It is also slightly based on "Shooting Quasar Dragon".
DARKPLANT RISING
Well, first things first, I honestly see no reason to run this in any deck. This is because this card is underpowered. Sure, it's got 3 effects, but it just isn't worth summoning. The first effect involves the factor of luck, and just that is usually enough to make a card bad. A card needs to consistently have positive uses to be used (thus why Time Wizard is only used in casual decks). The second effect may be useful, but it certainly isn't that handy given you would have most likely summoned Brionac in the process of getting this out, meaning your opponent's field will be clear. The final effect seems good on paper, but in reality it's meh because Gungnir isn't worth the space, Trishula is banned, and Brionac can't withstand strong attacks. Given this would most likely die on your opponent's turn, low ATK means useless. Just that is enough to make this useless, but it isn't just that. Most decks nowadays can't manage to get out 2 medium-sized Synchros on the field + a Tuner, and those that can (namely, Quick-Junk-Doppel and Lavals) are also able of getting out Quasar in pretty much the same situation if they tweak their strategies a bit. And well, while Quasar is a win condition, this isn't. It's still better than my first creation, though. I think that was "Po, Lord of Searing Flames" or something. Yeah, Po from Teletubbies. You heard it. This is a pretty good job for a beginner. Since you seem new here, you might wanna take a look at the 3 guides in my siggy too. And if you've got spare time, you might wanna hang around in this forum for some time. It's a pretty fun place. See ya~
ALTDestiny
Thanks, I'll be making it more powerful now. Since this card is designed to be mightier than Trishula and based on Quasar, I should make the effects more useful. Thanks! I will check your guides as well.
