Northern Sage
While face-up on the field and in the Graveyard: This card is treated as a Normal Monster. While face-up on the field: You can Normal Summon this card; It is treated as an Effect Monster with the following effects: • When this card is Gemini Summoned: Place 1 Ice Counter on each monster your opponent controls. Once, while this card is face-up on the field: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls with an Ice Counter(s); Take control of that target until the End Phase. While you control a monster by this card's effect: It's effects are negated, and it cannot be used for a Summon, except for the Summon of a WATER monster.
Credits for dat art go to Vankiller. Trivia: •Jack Frost is a mythological creature originating in Viking mythology, embodying the essence of winter. Pros: • Works with generic WATER, Fairy, Gemini and Vanilla support. •Searchable with Mother Grizzly and Sangan. •Like Breaker, it creates Ice Counters by itself, and could work without the Archetype. •Is a Limit Reverse target. Cons: •Chance of becoming a sitting duck when it's effect is used up. •Being a Gemini slows it down. Need some wording help. First of all, do I have to specify that the negative effects are reversed in the case of the monster returning to the opponent's control? Secondly, does Blazewing Butterfly and Supervise make the first effect go off? Okay, this is the biggest wall of text I have ever written for this type of topic. Have at it, YCM. newhat
If you want the negative effects to immediately fade when control switches back, you'll need to specify it:
...You can target 1 monster your opponent controls with an Ice Counter(s): take control of that target until the End Phase. While you control it, its effects are negated, and it cannot be Tributed for the Tribute Summon of a non-WATER monster or used as Material for a non-WATER monster.
I'm not sure if you cared about it being Fusion Material. If you don't want to be able to Fuse with it, you have to say "Material" or "Material Monster", not "the Summon of a monster", because a card like Miracle Fusion is "an effect that Summons a monster" rather than an Inherent Special Summon. Supervise/Blazewing Butterfly don't Gemini Summon; they just apply the monster's effect. Also, this card is kinda slow...
Northern Sage
Ah well, is better off not tbh. Thanks for the help. Any thoughts on the card itself?
newhat
I haven't used Ice Counters so I can't say how fast they are, but this card seems very slow.
Synchronized
The art is wonderful. Being a Gemini makes it somewhat slow, but it also makes it Gemini Spark-able, which is a very good quality to have, since this could actually be tech'd into Heroes very easily. It also makes Bahamut Shark; not sure how viable that is, but regardless. It's got its pluses.
