Did I make a Tour Guide? Yeah, I made a Tour Guide.

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Winged Angel - Festung der Stürme" from your Deck in face-up Attack Position. During the End Phase of a turn this Normal Summoned card is used as Xyz Material: Banish all face-up Xyz monsters on the field. During the turn this card is Summoned, you cannot Summon or Set a monster, except "Winged Angel - Festung der Stürme".
I'm a hypocrite, I know. So, after seeing a thread posted earlier where someone made a Tour Guide-esque card that tutors Celtic Guardian for no restrictions, I made comments in that thread that Tour Guide-like cards are bad design and generally not good for the game. Interested in challenging myself, I decided to try and come up with a card following that theme that would be playable, but balanced at the same time.

Essentially, you can't pull off the effect of this card more than once, unless you somehow get one back to your hand. I made it 1800 so that it would be able to hold its own, at least for a turn. There's no guarantee that you'll be able to Xyz at all, but if you do, you only get that Xyz until the End Phase, anyway. Now, with that restriction in mind, I did make it so all Xyz monsters on the field are banished during the End Phase of a turn this Normal Summoned card is used as Xyz Material.

What that means is, if the opponent gets rid of this one and leaves the Special Summoned one as is, there's no concerns on their part because their Xyz Monsters are safe. I think it's quite balanced.

I see no reason to Normal Summon or Set another monster the turn I Summon this card.

Its Type and Attribute are not useful; it only makes generic Xyz and Synchro Monsters.

I can just attack with both monsters for a combined 3600 damage, which is pretty good.

An Xyz Summon performed with this card would doom not only my Xyz Monster but all others on the field. Why not take advantage of this to dump something with Lavalval Chain?

Being Level 4, this can recycle itself with Emeral...though Emeral itself will be banished.

Overall, only worth running in a Tengu-style Beatdown Deck.

Well, it's not just Normal Summon or Set; it's Special Summon, as well.

The challenge behind the card is creating something that nets you a + from the Deck, no less, while keeping it balanced at the same time, which is not very easy at all. Cards like Tour Guide have little to no restrictions and let you Normal Summon an Xyz, for the most part. This is similar, but it makes you wait a turn, like I explained.

The difference being that the Xyz banishing effect does work on opponent's monsters as well, so there are some fun combos you can pull off with it.

Yeah, I wasn't looking to design something that's a staple, for sure.

I overlooked that. My mistake. In that case, this card is not particularly usable except for beatdown.

That's what I was going to say. There's plenty of potential there, even though it doesn't have to be used solely for Xyz. I mean think about it, if Xyz weren't around, I don't think Tour Guide would be that bad at all. I mean sure, it might need a limit, but there would be no reason for it to be @0 when it just tutors a relatively weak monster.

I wanted to place enough restrictions on this so it wouldn't be worthless, but not broken at the same time.
