evilfusion Posted July 17, 2012 Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 I like the idea of the combo, although if you use Ravine and want to use Black Garden, that's complicating the combo by adding more Fields. Lava Dragon is terrible due to needing to be in faceup DEF, which makes it unreliable and slow. You could easily bring it out with things like REDMD, but then you're wasting a card in your Deck (Dragon itself) for subpar combos. The fact it must bring out a Level 3 from hand as well as Graveyard also makes it reliant on your current resources. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Agro Posted July 18, 2012 Report Share Posted July 18, 2012 Lava Dragon was one of the cards I looked at when thinking about how current cards could abuse Xyz. Unfortunately, it's a bit more conditional than... let's say Tour Guide and therefore needs a lot more help to make useful. It's amazing on paper until you use math.
