1. 1. Is this a Great Idea?

    • Yes, just like all of your other ones. This is the set you should finish first.

Hey, I'm Card Maker Shinigami. By now you guys should have seen atleast one of my cards. If not, here is your chance! Today I introduce the New Concept of Runes and Runics. First of all, I should start off with the card you need to play this New Concept.

Rune World

"While this card is face-up in your Field Play Card Zone, your Removed From Play Zone is now treated as your Rune Deck. "Rune" monsters that would be sent to the graveyard are instead sent to your Rune Deck instead. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, you can add 1 "Runic" monster from your Deck to your hand per turn instead of drawing 1 card from your Deck during your Draw Phase. Then shuffle your Deck. If this card were to be sent to the graveyard, return it to your hand instead."

Now, don't think I made a Typo, I said Runes and Runics. Now if your wondering what is the difference, I will list them out plain and simple.

Differences Between Runes and Runics:

- Runics are not placed in the Rune Deck

- Runes are placed in the Rune Deck

- Runics have no intial effects of their own.

- Runes have effects, but cannot use them.

What is a Rune?

Runes are monsters with great power, but they themselves cannot harness and use it on their own. Runes are useless without the Rune Deck, Runics, or Rune World.

What is a Runic?

A Runic is a Monster that is basically and empty vessel. The Runic Monsters use the power of the Runes for their own, and destroy your opponent with them. Runic monsters are okay without the Rune Deck, Runes, and Rune World, but if you ever decide to play them I suggest you play with those other cards.

RUNE WORLD SET

Ancient Runic Dragon

"This card cannot be Summoned unless "Rune World" is on the field. During each of your Standby Phases, if this card is in your hand, you may search your deck for 1 "Rune" monster and put it in your Rune Deck. After the end of each turn, you may search your Rune Deck for 1 "Rune" monster and place it face-up on top of it. While this card is face-up on your side of the field, it gains the effect of the face-up "Rune" monster on top of your Rune Deck."

Side Notes:

- He cannot be Summoned without Rune World

- He only gains effects of Rune Monsters on top of the Rune Deck

- You could keep him in your hand for a while, and add Rune Monsters to your Rune Deck as ammo for your other Runics Monsters.

- He is a Runic Monster.

any field spell that would allow THAT = at least as broken as ancient city rainbow ruins...so methinks these cards should be rated vs CBs as far as playability goes...

Mass of Nasty effects, like what?

Getting more Runic monsters isn't much of a nasty, because the runic monsters get effects from Rune monsters. Rune monsters are sent to the Rune Deck only when they have been sent to the graveyard, which means I would have to discard or play the Rune monster to have it go to the graveyard, so that's not broken. Besides, most of the Rune monsters I plan to make won't have broken effects, some may have overpowered effects. What you don't realize is that Runic monstercis are harder to play than you think they are. The only broken effect is maybe the returning to your hand bit, but Rune World doesn't have any broken effects like Ancient City, so returning Rune World to your hand isn't really that bad for your opponent.

Also, I have to edit my first post, but runic monsters cannot share rune monster effects, so even if I did have a powerful rune monster in my rune deck, they both can't have it. I would need to get more powerful rune monsters in my rune deck, which is harder to do than you think it is.
