would this be a good card to use in battle im not sure if i should change the type or how i could improve

This card has so much wrong with it I don't know where to start.

Firstly, Name should be properly capitalized.

"Death's Shadow" is the proper form.

Second, all Types are Capitalized as well. Demon is the direct translation of Fiend in Japanese. Use Fiend since it is the proper Type.

Third, the effect is so off course I will have to assume what you mean by it.

I realize this is your first card and the effort is there, but there are some things yet to be fixed. The proper form of the card text I provided was not changed and the word "Fiend" is misspelled.

This should be the card's effect: During the turn this card is Summoned, you can return 1 card on the field to it's owners hand by Tributing 1 monster you control.
