Because the Ban List Does Not Need to Exist - A Lesson to Konami by the people at YCM

So I just got my hands on a

So I am going to go back in time and fix some of Konami's worst designed cards -before- they come out, so that stupid ban list can stop existing. Also, I am going to make some changes to some other cards, just so they all fit together more nicely :)

Badly designed card #1: Pot of Greed.

Intended Use: Deck thinning, more cards in hand.

Problem: Free plusses

Fix: Draw 2 cards. You cannot Summon in the turn you activate this card.

Badly Designed Card #2: Graceful Charity

Intended Use: Deck thinning, filling up graveyard.

Problem: Instant advantage upon use, no matter the deck.

Fix: Draw 3 cards, then discard 3 cards.

Badly designed card #3: Painful Choice

Intended Use: Deckthinning, searching cards you otherwise would not be able to, skill card for both you and opponent, difficult choice.

Fix: Select 5 non-monster cards from your Deck and reveal them to your opponent. Your opponent selects 1 card among them. Add that card to your hand and discard the other cards.

Comment: Konami nearly got this one right. They just did not see ahead to the fact that the game was going to use monsters in the Graveyard as a resource pile.

Badly Designed Card #4: Delinquent Duo

Intended Use: 2 for 1, Choice between Life Points and Card Advantage.

Problem: Far too powerful in early game, and far too cheap. Life Point cost needs to be larger, and needs to be greater the closer to the start of the game you are.

Fix: Pay half your Life Points. Randomly discard 1 card from your opponent's hand. You can pay an additional 1000 Life Points to have your opponent select and discard 1 additional card.

Comments: Card is still insanely powerful in control decks. It fully deserves its ultra-rare status.

Badly designed card #5: Monster Reborn

Intended use: Special Summons, Reviving one monster.

Problem: This card was supposed to only be good at the beginning of the game, when it was still new, but it was insane and has been getting better and better. So, we are just going to make it work when it was new! In any case, the real problem is that it gives free field presence whenever drawn.

Fix: Special Summon 1 Normal Monster from either player's Graveyard to your side of the field.

Comment: "In the manga they never could Monster Reborn Fusion Monsters."

Moral of the story: Spell Cards are powerful. Coming soon, 5 more Spell Cards! Raigeki, Harpie's Feather Duster, Change of Heart, Confiscation, and The Forceful Sentry.

Also, Konami is looking for feedback! I want to stay true to the original idea of the card, balance it, while still keeping it relatively powerful when released.
