Canadian
"You feelin' lucky, punk?" I just play Maxx "C" because the good player will more often then not try to go off. This card is an all around good card because it can give you a +1 off rabbit, totally end Wind-Up turns, can be chained to D-Fissure, and provides extra protection from a Storm clearing away your Solemns, BTH, and Prisons. Of course, you can side Trag and Gorz in afterwards, but the opponent doesn't have to know you don't have them in the Main Deck! And its not the worst card again all decks, unlike Veiler which can be totally dead against several. Maybe its my bias against Veiler, but ever since I can't Synchro with it because of the need for Xyz's in the Extra Deck, I prefer Maxx "C" a lot more in the main (unless Veiler is a part of the deck concept like Dragons, Piper Chaos, Synchron, ect..). And at worst, Maxx "C" is just a +0 and a floater that can be clutch and kill things in battle if needed, unlike Veiler with 0/0 stats. I could go on more about how I like Maxx "C", but I want to know if YCM thinks it deserves a spot(s) in the Main Deck.
Lonk
I don't like maining it, since it has a higher tendency to dead draw than Veiler does. You only want to have it in your hand when your opponent is in the situation of needing to Special Summon something while not being an OTK. While there are decks like that, more commonly played decks puts Maxx in the situation that it becomes dead weight, thus killing its spots in the Main Deck. That is what the Side Deck is for, however, and Maxx "C" shines brightest there.
This Account is Unplayable
Thing with Maxx C is that a lot of the time it could just be a better card. Odds of Wind-Ups going first, you opening Maxx C, and them having the loop is ridiculously slim. This'll only ever be a 1-for-1 against Chaos Dragons, realistically. You need it on the Rabbit summon for it to be worth anything. Veiler can at least do SOMETHING after the turn they make their Zar. Does more against Heroes and DWs than Veiler though, but it'll be a 1-for-1 against both except a Beiige SS play. Problem with dealing with Hieratics is that you need to really stop Atum for the most part, but it can be argued equally as good as Veiler in that match-up. Much, much worse against Inzektors (and using Euro nats as an example, Inzektor are far from dead, holding 1/6 of the top 32.) It's certainly no 4-6 hand trap format like it was, honestly it's a 0-4 one, where most people will want to be playing 2-3 Veiler. It has potential, and I can understand people maining it, especially with Wind-Ups being one of the absolute best decks atm. Definitely comes down to player preference, but very rarely would I want to main it.
Citrine Serpent
Those are some pretty cool mind games in the OP, but I feel Veiler does the same thing better most of time (read: against rabbit and guide) Only against wind ups does maxx C have an advantage, protecting yourself from being left hand-less. Outside of wind ups, maxx C leaves you hoping you draw into hand traps, or they don't do enough to OTK you, whereas Veiler could have halted the play and guaranteed your safety. I don't even side Maxx C much anymore..,
newhat
Maxx "C" helps deal with OTKs, but only by drawing into other cards you can use. It can be played as a Deck Thinner though.
