Yata-Garasu support

Emperor Jimmu of Japan was guided by Yatagarasu (eight-span crow) in his journey from Kumano to Yamato.

Conveniently, there are eight crows on the card image.

Effect:
When a Monster you control inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent: you can banish this card from your hand. While this card is banished, during each of your opponent's End Phases, if the number of cards in your opponent's hand is equal to or less than the number of cards he/she had during your last End Phase: target 1 Level 4 or lower monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. You can activate this effect of "Jimmu's Soul Stealing Flock" only up to twice per duel.

Fire away.

Its only problem is that Yata-Garasu is banned.

And if it's traditional, or if somehow Yata-Garasu gets out of the prison next format, this will be pointless since Yata-Garasu wins on its own and you don't need this at all. Therefore, this effect is utterly pointless.

Protip: Situational cards are terrible. Don't make them.

It seemed like a decent idea, I'll know better next time though.

Well,
You put good thought into the lore.
If you want to make yata-garasu "support" make something that supports the draw-lock strategy, that way it can be used in advanced and also in traditional or when/if yata gets unbanned.
Don't actually say "yata-garasu" in the card text. Its almost insulting for such a broken card to be even MENTIONED by anything else, lol.

I'd rather make its eff something like

[s]This card cannot be Special Summoned.[/s] When a Monster you control inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent[s],[/s]: you can banish this card from your hand. While this card is banished, during each of your opponent's End Phases, [s]if he/she has not drawn from their deck that turn,[/s] if the number of cards in your opponent's hand is equal to or less than the number of cards he/she had during your last End Phase: [s]select and Special Summon 1 Monster from their Graveyard to your side of the field.[/s] target 1 Level 4 or lower monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. You can activate this effect of "Jimmu's Soul Stealing Flock" only up to twice per duel.

So, that becomes:

I would rather SS from my graveyard, as it is less reliant on the aspect of luck. This also conveniently restricts the opponent's moves.

Interesting... all right then.

Wait, so any more than two times per duel would be broken?

hmmm,
it doesn't really benefit yata that much. And it special summons, yata can't be special summoned. I mean, not that Special Summoning is bad or anything, but don't make its name associated with Yata in that case. So, it doesn't seem to implicitly aid the strategy of a yata-garasu lockdown deck.
If anything, you want it to take cards away from your opponent, not give more to yourself, if you are trying to support yata.
