Hmm. Ever heard of the Great Lakes Avengers?

- [b]Mister Invincible:[/b] You thought you shot him, but he came back. (Cannot stay dead).
- [b]Flatman:[/b] He's absolutely flat. If he turns sideways to you, you can no longer see him, and he fits under door cracks!
- [b]Doorman:[/b] A Level-10 Teleporter, who can get you inside or out of any room -- as long as he's standing against a door or wall, and you move through him. Also inherited the power to ferry away the souls of the dead from Deathurge.
- [b]Big Bertha:[/b] Usually a model (this is how she bankrolls the GLA), she can add an incredible amount of mass to her body instantly, thus providing incredible stopping power. Unfortunately she can only reverse this by throwing up. Bulimia is nothing to be laughed at. Even Monkey Joe knows this.
- [b]Dina Soar:[/b] A pink being who resembles a pterosaur. She speaks extremely softly, and was the only one who could keep Mr. Invincible from becoming unglued. Then she died.
- [b]Grasshopper:[/b] Able to leap--... but died almost as soon as he accepted membership. Damn!
- [b]Squirrel Girl:[/b] Has a prehensile tail (yes it's real), knuckle spikes and short climbing claws, can chew through any wood, and talk to and understand squirrels. This is probably the only former-member of the GLA who is not a complete joke: even before overwhelming Iron Man she beat and humiliated Doctor Doom [i]as her first ever appearance[/i]. She defeated him again in the process of rescuing Iron Man, mostly by calling in her squirrel friends to chew him out. When she wanted to convince fellow-hero Speedball not to become Penance, she went to Castle Doom on her Squirrel-a-Gig copter (evading the castle's defences with squirrel agility), and when she asked where his time machine was Doom simply told her. Squirrel Girl has also defeated Terrax, and she is currently acting as nanny for Luke and Jessica Cage's daughter, Danielle. She proved her strength by defeating Logan, when the only rule in the bout was 'no claws.' Doreen, like many members of the GLA, is a mutant. She was also fifteen when she beat Doom and Iron Man. Considered a Joke Omnipotent by many because many of her victories were against powerful foes, but done off-panel.
- [b]Monkey Joe[/b] and [b]Tippy Toe:[/b] Occasionally Squirrel Girl will get a squirrel friend with whom she identifies extremely closely, or who shows bravery above-and-beyond. Both these squirrels are as such. Unfortunately Leather Boy killed Monkey Joe when he felt he'd been dishonoured by not being invited to rejoin the GLA (but he doesn't have any powers anyway). Tippy Toe has been Squirrel Girl's primary partner ever since.
