Master of Sabers
I've got two builds here. One of them is a more interesting and unusual build, meant to maintain field presence, the other is normal. Normal Build For the above build, I'm not set on it yet. The Mirror Forces I'm not sure about. I'd like to add one more E-Call, but I only own two at the moment. Field presence based build Many of you are laughing at the second build I have. Lolwut? Palomuro? Guardstrike? He's off his rocker! Well, perhaps I am. But they've both served me wonderfully. Guardstrike is quite interesting, the level 5 allows for some interesting synchroing. Palomuro is also quite interesting. The ability to have him special summon himself from the grave is quite handy. One of my favorite plays I've achieved went something like this. Summon XX-Saber Emmersblade, suicide into something. Emmersblades effect activates, as does palomuro's. I grab Ragi from my deck. MP2 - special faultroll, who special summons Pashuul from the grave. Synch for formula and stardust, synch for shooting star. So yep, two builds of sabers. Have at it, YCM.
-Griffin
Aren't Saber Slash and Saber Hole half-decent? IDK, I don't play them.
Master of Sabers
Saber hole is meh. It cannot stop special summons from a card effect which greatly decreases it's utility. Saber slash would be much better if it hit any card, but it only hits face ups. Besides, room is super tight....

Besides, room is super tight....
That's true, but it still stops every Synchro/Xyz/Normal. I guess it's more of a side-deck card. I dunno, I think I'd prefer the Slash to E-Con. Maybe to Mirror.
Master of Sabers
Don't get me wrong, I really like slash. I just am a little wary of it. It is somewhat situational in the fact that you must destroy an equal number of cards. There is a slight problem with running over large monsters like scrap dragon. I've tested a lot against my own Geargiscrap deck, which runs a large amount of protection, and my sabers have a tough time running over scrap dragons protected with fiendishes, etc etc. Now my testing has been rather limited since I don't like dueling on DN, and haven't been to locals on account of 5+ hours of homework these past weekends. But I hope to go next week with the new list and test there. Slash is definitely a card I'm considering, I just haven't put it in yet.
Northern Sage
Invoker? Also, no ROTA?
-Griffin
k. Ever considered a Garsem? He makes cool plays with Torrential/Dark Hole. Darksoul usually better, but having the instant-ness, beefier body, and extra level, are all kinda useful.
Master of Sabers
Yes, I have considered Garsem actually. I used a copy of him in an earlier build, the extra attack bonus is quite helpful. I would like easier access to BRD as well, and he'd help with that. Ugh, so many choices. As for invoker, I don't own him IRL, and these are IRL builds. Snowpeak is usually better, I think. And Rota, no. I don't have enough targets to warrant it. I can easily grab Pashuul with something else like darksoul, reinforce truth, or emmersblade.
