"The Thing from the Back of the Fridge"

I'm really strapped for ideas, aren't I? Think Satellite Cannon, except it charges in the Graveyard, and does so more slowly. On the plus side, you'll have a 2600+ beater in your Graveyard in case of emergency; on the other hand, it loses ATK twice as fast once actually on the field. That, and I think it's kind of cute by shadowy monster standards.

DARK
Level 6
Fiend/Effect
This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This monster must first be Special Summoned from your Graveyard after your 2nd Standby Phase this card has been in the Graveyard. Increase the ATK and DEF of this monster by 300 each Standby Phase this card is in the Graveyard. Decrease the ATK and DEF of this monster by 600 each Standby Phase this card is on the field.

Foolishing this is the easiest way to get it going. Level 6 makes for Xyz Fodder, DARK makes it Allure fodder, and 2600 ATK makes it a decent monster to run over things at first, but lose capability afterwards. It's flexibly balanced...leaning a little towards the UPed mark since it takes a while to set up. So why did you create this besides the obvious?

BTW, I think I fixed a few things in the OCG. It's kinda weird though so I don't think I got all of it right.

I play very slowly. I'm a BIG "Satellite Cannon" fan; the idea of getting a sorta-weak monster and letting it get stronger over time appeals to me, as opposed to getting a bunch of Xyzs and Synchros and whatnot out in a single turn. The artwork and name were pretty fun to make too; it's both menacing and cute at the same time. Next time you go for a midnight snack, try imagining a shadow monster in your fridge, hanging out and eating mustard straight out of the bottle.

I'd just to note that there's already a 'thing at the back of the fridge' monster.

I really don't like like the design personally. There's a thing, when designing cards, known as 'memory issues'. Basically, if you have to keep count, or has an effect you have to maintain and could possibly forget, it's bad design because it's not user-friendly and rarely works outside of putting coins/counters/random stuff all over your cards. I guess you can keep the field effect, but not the one that increases its ATK in the Graveyard. Because it's just confusing.

I wasn't aware of "Shiny Black C". Anyway, your counter idea is probably the best, but I like the idea of this monster, so I'm not going to give up on it just yet.

So, I'm assuming it Summon can be triggered any time you could use a Spell Speed 1 effect and at least 2 Standby Phases have passed?

I think it's a bit too strong. It might not see any play in the tier 1 games where things end in 2/3 turns, but in a slower format, Arma Knight/Grepher/Foolish make this hideously easy to dump, and a 2600 beatstick for such little setup, and with level 6 being quite potent for Xyz, it seems too much reward for no cost. Especially since if it's destroyed, it just comes back in two more turns.

The most obvious solutions I can think of are making it a non-Xyz material, banishing it if it is destroyed by a card effect, and/or getting rid of its ATK-increasing effect; 2600 ATK is the minimum ATK of this monster once summoned, after all. "Accidentally" leaving it in the Graveyard would boost it even more. I basically wanted to make an emergency glass cannon strong enough to get rid of that damned #39, if only temporarily. Seriously, I hate #39.

Well, for one, I'd let it be Normal Summoned. (Or at least Set) - it opens up more options, so while it'll rarely be a good choice, it adds some skill to still have a choice.
Non-Xyz is probably a good move.
I think part of the problem is there is very little incentive to leave it in the Grave. Lower ATK/more ATK-per-turn would help with that. If you did that, I'd recommend boosting the DEF to ~2400 to give more reason to Tribute-Set it.
As for banishing, it's hard to pick exact conditions, but anything is better than nothing.
