Legend of Photon

FTW (For The Wynn)

Recommended Posts

I saw this image while looking for other things, and decided to make use of it. It took me awhile to think of an effect that I think would be useful to the Photon/Galaxy archetype, without breaking it wide open (or breaking it more, if that is how you feel).

Lore: When a "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster is Summoned, add Photon Counters to this card equal to that card's Level (max. 30). Once per turn: You can remove any number of Photon Counters from this card and send this card to the Graveyard to target 1 LIGHT monster you control; that monster gains ATK equal to the number of counters removed from this card x 100 until the End Phase. A monster that gains ATK by this effect cannot attack your opponent directly that turn. When this card is destroyed while it has counters on it, you can Special Summon 1 "Galaxy" or "Photon" monster from your Graveyard whose ATK is equal to or less than the number of counters on it. There can only be 1 "Legend of Photon" face-up on the field.

I'd like to point out the following things.
-Sending this card to the Graveyard does not activate its Special Summon effect. That is why I did not limit the Special Summon effect.
-I'm considering making the Special Summon effect require destruction using your opponent's card (i.e. your opponent could only activate this card by wasting a MST)
-This card can make your opponent hold onto that nasty Heavy Storm at perhaps critical moments. So, in can inadvertently serve as backrow protection at times, even though that is not its primary design
-This card cannot effect or be effected by Neo GE, except to raise its ATK in a one-shot. And usually, if you get out Neo GE, your going to win the game anyway.

Thoughts? I am not entirely familiar with Photons, and I also may have neglected a possible abuse. Or, it may not have room in a Photon Deck.

Seems fine, i honestly wouldn't use it as photons are already beaters so atk gaining isn't necessary (helpful, but i think people would only squeeze it in if they have space). Though, I don't get this part: When this card is destroyed while it has counters on it, you can Special Summon 1 "Galaxy" or "Photon" monster from your Graveyard whose ATK is equal to or less than the number of counters on it. Do you mean a monster with an atk equal to amount of counters x100? Anyway, that;s my opinion; i could be completely wrong (i probably am) or absolutely right.

p.s. Summon Neo-Galaxy doesn't necessarily mean you win, as when i summon it they seem to always have a d-prison or mirror, or survive then darkhole (<this happens when i summon it first turn).
