You can discard 1 "Monk Fighter"; Special Summon 1 "Master Monk" from your Deck, ignoring the summoning conditions. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Chu-Ske the Mouse Fighter", "Monk Fighter" or "Master Monk" on the field; increase its ATK by 1000 and it cannot attack your opponent directly.

The effect(s) of Special Summoned monsters cannot be activated, until the next Standby Phase of their controller. If "Chu-Ske the Mouse Fighter", "Monk Fighter", "Master Monk" or "Wonten" are destroyed by the effect of a Spell or Trap Card: Send 1 card in your opponent's hand to the Graveyard.
Clearly, the correct way to win is by martial arts!...and supporting some old cards...

First off I have to say that the Monk archetype is so awesome when it comes to its artwork (in my opinion) and really cool.

ON TOPIC:

Wonten is a great card for supporting the archetype, however it seems a little too strong on the ATK side, maybe lower it to like 1600 perhaps?

Threat seems a little counter-productive to the archetype itself but it is a great anti-meta card.

It isn't counter-productive unless you Special Summon Wonten. The effect of "Master Monk" doesn't activate so it isn't affected.
Also I think Wonten is better off at 1800 so it can holds its own (It is actually meant to be a powerful card). At least from my story perspectives it would be best (Wonten trains the Fighters, but Master Monk perfected his training, hence why he should have higher ATK. The reason Wonten boosts him is because he still lectures him spiritually about Martial Arts)

Wonten is cool-looking and its effect is reasonable. You speed out a beatstick for extra damage if you're running a near-useless Rock-Type.

Threat is mind-numbingly strong. Not only do you screw up most Xyz, Synchro and Ritual Monsters, you can bring whole archetypes like Glads to their knees without affecting your own strategy. If the effect applied like Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror, it could be blocked with Lance. At present, Heavy can crush it, but MST has a good chance of being -2.

My bad on the counter-productive point referring to Master Monk. I forgot its not an ignition/activation effect. However currently, Wonten is 1900 not 1800 but I understand your story's perspective so making it actually 1800 wouldn't be a bad idea since it can become a possible 2800 beater if you make it only 1800.
