ihop
I like doing these. So I'm playing HERO Beat, I will put up the Decklist in your Deck a bit later. The tournament is 38 players with a few good ones, a few decent ones and a few terrible ones. So, the rounds Round 1 I look at pairings, find I'm not on there even though I definitely registered, and complain to the person, along with 2 other people who had found the same. After a while the people decide to give us all wins because otherwise it'd take too long and would mess up the tournament as games had already started. Round 2 (Wind-Ups): I groan as I find out I'm playing the best player in the tournament. Game 1: I summon Thunder King and get a lot of early advantage from chaining Spark to Bottomlesses etc, and eventually I win with a Miracle. Game 2: I flip Skill Drain and he has no out to it aaaand I win a few turns later with Alius beatdown. Round 3 (Inzektors): Game 1: She opens Centipede, Hornet, Dragonfly, 2 Sword and Bottomless, and I open Thunder King, Snowman and 2 D Prison so I lose as the just kills me with Hornet plays. Game 2: I flip Shadow Imprisoning Mirror. Game 3: I flip Skill Drain. Yeah, the Deck's pretty bad. Round 4 (Hope for Exodia): Game 1: He Upstarts and Gift Cards, and then goes for Hope for Escape, chain Jar of Greed, Legacy and Threatening Roar. I Solemn the Roar, pay life to make the Hope fizzle and proceed to win from there as his attack-stoppers eventually run out. Game 2: I do a lot of End-Phase destroying which disrupts him a lot and then I win while he can't do anything because he Recklessed. So there's a top 8 cut Top 8 (Wind-Up guy from round 2): Game 1: I summon Thunder King early on and have many backrows to stop his crazy plays and eventually I win. Game 2: He opens Tourguide and Shark, and ends turn 1 on Tiras, Maestroke and Zenmaity. I lose a few turns after as I can't recover from that. Game 3: The game goes on for ages but eventually I end up facind down a Tiras with no material, a Zenmaity and a Giga-Brillaint, and all the cards have been boosted once. I miracle into a Zero as I'm scared of his backrow, which ends up being a bluff, summon Alius and kill Zenmaity and Brilliant, and then a few turns later I can D Prison his Tiras. Time is called when I have 100 more life than him, and I have Thunder King and Zero out, and attack into a Reaper. This is worrying but next turn I just disregard his 2 backrows (I knew one was useless), make Butterfly and he offers the handshake. Top 4 (Saberzauls, my teammate playing Agents): Game 1: I open good and he says he opens bad so I drop my guard a bit but eventually lose when he nukes with Black Rose and follows it up with about 15 Hyperions. Game 2: I open many backrows and I ease my way into setting them as I realise he has no Storm. I end up having 2 Bottomless and TT set and a Skill Drain face-up when he sacks the Storm and shows me his 2 Hyperion and BLS. D: At least he went on to win and pulled us a Super Upstart. Overall I'm pretty pleased as I was x-0 up to my loss.
