Existence

For those who have read Naruto up till now will know what I'm talking about:

Obito + Madara vs. Shinobi Alliance

Obito and Madara both want to create an alternate reality where everything is good and nothing bad can happen, even the dead in reality are alive in this reality. Shinobi Alliance is trying to stop them from achieving this plan, keeping themselves anchored to the "true" reality with it's pros and cons, how it's been for several millennium.

Debate:

Existence cannot be ignored no matter how bad things are. Things that contrast existence are called forms of denial and have the potential to be harmful for the ones in denial and those who interact with said people. One must not deny reality for what it is, nor escape it, but rather confront it, accept it and adjust to it for if not they will ultimately invoke their own "conscience" self-destruction.

Let the debate begin.

1. existance 95 up, 24 down

This is the wrong way to spell "existence". There is no "a" in existence -- or in definitely, for that matter.

The same people who spell this wrong also can't seem to grasp the difference between "your" and "you're" or "their" and "they're", something the rest of us mastered in third grade.

"Your definately the most excellant guitarest in existance."
--a complete idiot

Maybe if you weren't functionally illiterate, you'd have a more "excellant" job.

Would probably make a better debate if it was something like...

"Do you see a problem with escaping reality versus dealing with it."

I think that's what you're going for, but I have no clue how existence fits into this. Because technically you exist in either scenario. (if I'm interpreting this correctly)

@Exiro Divinus: If you don't think a thread is appropriate for this forum then PM me or report it with reasons. Posting to the thread creator will do nothing positive.

Existence is a pretty strange concept to bring into this. The opposite of existence is certainly not denial.

The debate is between acceptance and denial (of life or circumstances). Is this even a debate? Denial is a bad thing. I'm not against escapism though. I find it important to distinguish.
