If something is everything, is it also nothing?

Deep philosophical questions work best with Yugioh cards. I noticed a number of Level 1 Synchroes in RC and realized how difficult it would be to summon them. I thought about creating a Tuner that could also be treated as "Level 0", although I thought that a card with only one use would be entirely pointless and far from viable. In fact, I wanted to create a very durable Tuner, something that is somewhat splashable. I personally think it's not going to break the game. So, what's your opinion on balance?

Card is once again edited.

I like the idea but maybe a Special Summoning effect ? maybe for a cost [discard/send 1 in your hand to the grave/top card of your Deck is mill] wait maybe that would make this OP'ed.

This idea would great with Synchros or other monsters that the more materials you use for it's summoning, the more powerfull it gets

this card is somewhat pointless unless you use monster that require more materials for stronger effects [did i forgot xyzs OPPS]

maybe a non-Tuner monster with the same effect and maybe a Synchro monster with a effect that

anyways i rate this 08.53/10.00 seeing some surport cards would be neat

This is dumb card design at it's worst.
First of all, OCG:
When this card is Summoned: You can declare a Level from 0 to 12; This card becomes that Level until the End Phase. When this card is removed from the field: Banish it.
(First part is based on Gagaga Magician…)

Dupe target that can turn itself quickly into a 3 material Xyz Monster. Searchable with Tuning. Oh yeah, and Magnet Circle LV2. Awful design.

It's Thunder Type not Machine. Otherwise it would be x2 more broken then it still currently is.

Hydra, advance clause. Read the rule b4 you post. Also paying 500 lp can't even be considered a cost.

OT: You can't make it level 0 as that is a rule, although it could be a new game mechanic. Having the ability to be any level and being a tuenr is a bit too much. This thing already get support from the synchron cards. Also the thunder family would use this card in horrible ways.....

The card was a machine type at the time of his post.

Now, onto the card. Obviously, this was far more powerful when it was a machine but still it's insanely powerful. It's a One-for-One target as well as a Synchron. Not only this but it makes any generic synchro among some of the most powerful EARTH synchros. Not to mention it's a fan of xyz's as well.

As to balancing it. I'd make it a normal summon only monster. Because if you want it to keep its effect then your going to have to slow down the speed of which this can hit the field.

Just my thoughts,
D.A.

I must agree with the rest
It's well ov'pw, [an ov'pw Gagaga Magician]
I must say, it's not very original as well (Gagaga replica)
Allowing one monster to control it's level AND give you two options, Xyz or Synchro
I just think that should come with a well amout of cost

I believe Kvn is correct on the ruling of Level 0 too

Card helps with Level 1 Synchro Monsters and Kvn you're right. The rule is that a monster cannot reach Level 0, only 1. However, that's only because Konami has yet to create a concept for "Level 0". At any point in the future, it could happen and it would be implied or stated by card effects. I've shown my example several times, especially since I too ventured into the Level 1 Synchro zone with an archtype called Atrox and this was my answer:

Lore:
[background=rgb(251, 253, 254)]If you control no face-up monsters OR if you control only 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast-Type monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). This card cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. If this card is used for the Synchro Summon of a Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast-Type monster: This card's Level can be treated as 6, 3 or 0.[/background]

The card here though, is unrestricted, allowing it to be used for any and all generic Synchro Monsters, making it quite abusable especially as a Tuner. It has Thunder Seahorse as support as well as Tuning, and makes 1 for 1 quite devestating.

I can now go 1-4-1, Discard Level Eater, Special this as a Level 8. -1 Level Eater -> Synchro into Generic Level 8 Synchro, or any I so desire. It's just incredibly flexible being able to choose it at any Level, so sure it won't have Xyz plays, but it's immensely versatile as a Synchro Material. And given the support for Level 1 monsters...I'm really not liking this...especially since banishing the card could be a good thing instead of a bad thing.
