D.A._Sakuyamon
I remember joining a group contest where one team had to make a set of LIGHT cards and the other had to do DARK cards. I was on the LIGHT team and I was the one the came up with the idea for what we were going to do. Essential we turned life gain into a win condition. Anyways, so this card is like a Gemini but not entirely? I have 1 question though....... The Normal Summon effect doesn't say it can only be used once so does that mean you can spam it with "Ultimate Offering" for infinite life points? Strider Tigerwolf
I'm actually thinking of doing the same, a win condition if you reach a certain amount of Life over your opponent so that you actually "strive" for a goal instead of just mass life and draw out your opponent.
The Normal Summon effect doesn't say it can only be used once so does that mean you can spam it with "Ultimate Offering" for infinite life points?
You are absolutely right. I DID intend on making this card a "non" Gemini monster that can be Normal Summoned for an additional bonus, but I'll have to make sure I limit the number of times. How's 2 sound? I'll make it only be able to summon itself once.

Here was the main card from are team if you want so ideas

Activate only when you control a face-up "Luminia" monster. This card cannot be negated or destroyed until after your third Standby Phase after this card was activated. Both players Life Points are reduced to 0. Players do not lose the duel when there Life Points reach 0. A player who's Life Points reach 8000 or more looses the duel. When a player would lose Life points from Battle, the damage is negated and the player who would have received the damage instead gains Life points equal to the amount of damage they would have taken. Once during each of your Standby Phases you can decrease the ATK of 1 "Luminia" monster you control by 500 to destroy 1 card on the field. Strider Tigerwolf
That's some interesting gameplay, but I'm not thinking of something along those lines. I'm thinking something like: If your Life Points are 20000(+? -? Exactly?) when this card is (Summoned? Destroyed? Some other condition?): You win the duel. Saynt
Probably needs to be higher than 20000. Combos like Inferno Tempest + Soul Absorption could be abused.

Aerion Brightflame
Hmm. A different approach to how I would do it. I personally would have done things so that they gain effects as you have more life points than your opponent, encouraging more thought to yout stratagies. But I crazy ideas like an archetype I want to make that gains benifits from you having no cards left in your deck. Though the Alt win by having lots of life is a nice idea I say this now: Flint Lock loop. Probably would break it. As for the cards? Hero of a far East: Things it has running for it, Searchable by ROTA. And is Light. Wondering if it would get teched in Hero's? I doubt it but odder things have happened. I think it should have 100 less attack standard. 1900 is still pretty good, and at the moment, is more appealing than to secondary effect to me, as by the time you normally use it, you could Xyz into Pearl. Who, to me seems better as it can't be chained, or effect vieler'd and such. And unaffected by a single trap in general makes it to good for torrential plays. Make it opponents and I am happier with it. Hero of a far West: Balanced stats, since it will odds are die before it can use its other effect, and again I say make it an opponents spell so you Can't even more plus's from Dark Hole. The secondary effect is more appealing to me than the first ones, due to it having to survive. Although... I would suggest putting it up by 100, so that you can't giant rat into this. Since that would go someways to making Warrior toolbox a great deck again. I hope I've made some sense dude. I ramble at times. If I still made cards regularly, I would have a crack at this as well. I'll check back in when more is added.
Strider Tigerwolf
You've made perfect sense. The reason I did the whole 1900 ATK thing is so that it could survive, and then gaining a boost of 1000 while keeping it on the field and turning a monster into a 2600 ATK beatstick is nice especially when you can't go rank 4. The reason I didn't make it a Gemini is so that these guys rely on other support...which is why I'm thinking of keeping him as a beatstick monster only. On the second 1, I did that intentionally. At 1500 ATK, he is searchable by alot of things, but being slow on the Summon is what determines the usability of the card. Question: Should I up the life gain or should it stay as is? Aerion Brightflame
Depends on if any major plus's are going to come off it. Becuase thats the thing, there needs to be an aim to the life point game for it to be useful.
Strider Tigerwolf
And that's what the extra Normal Summon is for, to grant those +s. Also, Flint Gain is superbly inconsistent especially given the fact that there will be near to 0 synergy with the archtype.Added Valiant Army as my last card for today. Adds that extra Normal Summon they need if you can summon him. ALSO, restricting Synchros, Fusions....any type of Summon really with the monsters that use this effect temporarily.
Aerion Brightflame
The thing is though, people won't use that for the life gain, they will just use it for the other part of the effect. Which if anything defeats the point. The benifits should come from gaining life, not be in addition to the life gain, at least in my view. As for Valiant Army, he's perfect. Exactly what the other two need for now, and he is otherwise balanced. Aside from the if this card would leave the field effect... I think it should be opponents card effect. I just don't think being able to have a field of monsters who laugh off things like torrential and dark hole which you use are a sensible idea. Like the others, make it solely your opponents effect. Keeps abuse to a minimum.
Strider Tigerwolf
Alright. Will add that. Also...I think I'm turning Life Gain into more of...just a bonus for these guys...which I like but...

Love of Ghibli
An alt condition wall doesn't do what I think you want it to do. Why would you do anything other than safe zone him and gain lifepoints in a much more expedient way. You could run fountain in the sky, cetus of dalga, or maybe even soul absorption. It really would just promote stalling in a deck that just makes you harder to kill anyway. Second the problem with Lifegain in this scenario is that nothing theoretically bad is happening to you. They're just slower gemini creatures that give you life for the commit. Meaning outside their speed they don't have a downside.
