Legend Zero
I should totally test this out, but why the Aqua-Types over the Thunder-Types? Also, Treacherous Trap Hole?

Canadian
I should totally test this out, but why the Aqua-Types over the Thunder-Types? Also, Treacherous Trap Hole?
No excessive S/T's because when you go off with Merchant you pretty much want to win. And Aqua does 2 things. It allows me to play with Sapphire and Amethyst which help clear out major threats when going for game, as well as Sapphire's 2100 DEF makes it possible to chump block for a turn, then normal summon for a Rank 4, whereas 1800 DEF might not always. Though, Prism-Aura is completely viable for a meta with many face-up cards, so it all depends. I made this when Heroes and Geargia were all the rage so my choice was solid. Firefists may make me change it around.
Are 3 Fusions needed?
I was considering cutting one and one merchant for 2 ryko's so both confuse the opponent and aid in removing threats, 3 is just a lot more consistent to see in the opening hand though which is what you want. Depends on what the meta is like IMO.
