And yes, the theme is going with Red Mage and Blue Mage (ala Final Fantasy) just like Pikeru is White Mage healer and Curran is Black Mage damager.

Red Mage being mix of White and Black Mage (so she heals and damages) and Blue Mage being Master of Blue Magic and thus copies Monster Skills.
