gimmepie
I saw the pictures used for my first two monster of the arch on Photobucket and the idea just sprang into my head. I'm concerned that they might be slightly over-powered so any input on balancing will be much appreciated. Con/crit and rates welcomed. This is an archetype of cards that not only work very well together in a deck but many could be used as support in other decks such as Lightsworn, Darklord, Dark Counterpart, Agents, Herald and even Chaos (although they already have great chaos potential on their own). Effect: This card can be special summoned from your hand by tributing one face-up Fairy monster. Once per turn you can negate the activation of a spell or trap card targeting a fairy monster you control and destroy it. When this card destroys an opponents defence position monster: You can add one "Sky-Knight" card other than "Sky-Knight Adriel" to your hand. Effect: This card can be special summoned from your hand by banishing two Fairy monsters from your graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned you can destroy one Spell or Trap card for each "Sky-Knight" card on the field. When this card destroys a defence position monster you can discard one card from your hand: Send the top card of your opponents deck to the graveyard. Effect: Once per turn you can special summon this card from your hand by returning one Fairy monster from the field to your hand. If this card is special summoned in this way: When this card destroys and opponents monster by battle you gain life points equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster. Effect: When an opponent's card destroys a Fairy monster you control (by battle or by card effect) you can special summon this card from your hand. If this card is special summoned by its own effect you can destroy one card on the field. Effect: You can pay 1000 life points: Special summon this card from your hand. If this card is special summoned by its own effect discard one random card from your opponents hand. When this card attacks a defence position monster: Inflict piercing damage on your opponent. Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be special summoned (from the hand) by banishing one LIGHT and one DARK Fairy monster from your graveyard. When this card is summoned target up to two cards on the field: Banish the targeted cards. Effect: You can special summon this card from your hand by discarding one spell card from your hand. If this card is special summoned by its own effect: You cannot special summon another level five or higher fairy monster this turn. Once per turn you can discard one card: Draw one card, if it is a spell card you can draw once more this turn. Effect: You can tribute this face-up card to special summon one Fairy monster from your hand. When the special summoned monster leaves the field: Banish it. You can only activate the effect of "Sky-Knight Muriel" once per turn. Effect: When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard you can special summon one Fairy monster in face-up defence position. When that card is sent from the field to the graveyard: Banish it and take damage equal to its level X100. Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be special summoned (from the hand) by banishing 3 "Sky-Knight" monsters from your graveyard. Once per turn you can halve this cards attack until the end of the battle phase: This card can attack your opponent directly this turn. Once per turn you negate the effect of a card that targets a Fairy monster you control and destroy it. Effect: Discard one card from your hand: Add one "Sky-Knight" card or "Divine Palace" to your hand from your deck. Effect: Face up Fairy monsters gain 400 ATK and DEF as long as this card remains face up on the field. Once per turn you can add one card from your hand to your deck, then, add one "Sky-Knight" card to your hand from your deck and shuffle your deck. If this face-up card would be destroyed by an opponents card effect you can tribute on face up "Sky-Knight" monster: Negate the activation of the cards effect and destroy it. Effect: Double the attack of all face-up fairy monsters on the field. During the end-phase of the turn this card is activated: Destroy all face-up fairy monsters on the field. Effect: When a card or effect is activated that destroys 3 or more cards you control: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then you can Special Summon 1 "Sky-Knight" monster from your Deck. Effect: As long as this card remains face-up on the field neither player can special summon monsters other than Fairy monsters. More to come! Zazubat
First card is well balanced, but OCG could need some work. Spell & Trap, Fairy, Special Summon etc. Second card, since I don't know if you're gonna make level 4 or lower Sky-Knight monsters this card may become pretty powerful since you can destroy a bunch of cards easily this way. Maybe make it when it gets Summoned instead. Also you fixed a couple of OCG mistakes here, but not all (grumpy) Third card is very situational, which means that it may be hard to use, and I think that's what made you think, but a simple Dark Hole/Heavy Storm and you can SS a pretty powerful monster. Tough these card gains effect from being SS from hand, the card itself might not be as useful again, so it's kinda 50/50 for me if it's too powerful or not. gimmepie
Actually they weren't only gaining effects if special summoned by their effects... Do you think that is what I should do because I like the idea? The trap is almost identical to Starlight Road which not considered OP by anyone I know... and that brings out Stardust Dragon o.O Edit: Lucifer has been made more balanced. Lailah, Jophiel, Zadkiel, Chaos Lady of the Sky Knights, Prayer to the Sky Knights and Divine Palace added. I have created the boss monster for the archetype but I'm concerned that it is probably OP... I'll post it once I have seen more opinions on the archetype. Also, I must have misread, I thought it only gained the effect if it was Special Summoned from hand, which makes the card a lot better
gimmepie
Would Defenders be better if I made it 3 or more then? As for the only having effects when special summoned from the hand I have made a few like that and intend to make more.

Edit: Cassiel, Muriel, Dyvinity, A Fairy's Rage (The card itself needs the title fixed) and Judgement of the Sky-Knights added. Defenders of Heavan edited.
