Unique Hand Trap; alternative Maxx "C"

Not as versatile as Maxx "C" but definitely something that can completely cripple your opponent for that turn.

During either player's turn, when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect that would change the number of cards on the field or in either hand, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate that card and return it to your opponent's hand. During the turn you resolved this effect, if the total number of cards on your opponent's side of the field and in their hand change by their own Summon or card effect (after that card resolves), draw 1 card.

This card has 2 functions, depending on the timing it's activated. The primary function is very aggressive during your opponent's turn, making it so that he cannot get a + and also makes him play badly. The secondary function is to protect your own monsters by using it against cards like D-Prison. I'm not too sure of the ruling, but the condition to activate this card does not include the card that this card chains to (e.g. shrink goes to graveyard after resolution, thus changing the number of cards on the field, but you cannot use this card in response to it). I may reword the effect to make it more clear. Also, this card CAN be used during the damage step, since it does negate and it is a Quick Effect.

So this kind of good for wind-ups and that's about it in my opinion because while you negate a card for a turn you don't really solve the problem you just bounce it for a second which can be fine for the opponent if this happens on your turn in most cases with a trap. It would be neat for a monster effect that involves summoning I guess if the normal summon was already used. I don't really seeing it get much play.
