What is the difference between an "advanced member" and a "member"?

 

I really can't see the difference between the two.....

Remember, a new group was created for those with enough posts to get the profile background.

I thought it was based on your post count and has the highest of us all

 

Furthermore, people who don't yet have 10,000 posts are also in the "advanced member" group. It can't be based on reps since plenty of people who are "members" have more reps than me.

I guess they have to manually place those who met the requirement before the group was made. That or a promotion is needed.

I mean, nearly the entire first page of top posters are still "members"

1. You need to have 5000, not 10, 000.

 

and I don't think it's manually, he may not have posted since the group was made, is the reason he isn't in the group? Since that is what I thought about this:

You need 5000 posts to get it (and you need to post at least once in a section where your post count goes up).

Why else would you need to post once if you already have enough posts.
