Lore: This card's name is treated as "Toon World" while face-up on the field. Face-up Toon monsters you control gain 500 ATK & DEF. If this card would be destroyed: You can send 1 "Toon" card you control to the Graveyard instead. Once per turn: You can discard 1 "Toon" card from your hand; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Toon Monster from your Graveyard. Toon monsters you control cannot attack your opponent directly the turn this effect is used.

I continue my crusade to support underrated mechanics. Today I bring you Toontopia. This card pretty much succeeds where Toon World failed. That is, it's a Field Spell, like Toon World should have been. It also adds a boost to face up Toon monsters. It even has a built in protection effect. I've also added in the Ojama County effect. You can discard 1 "Toon" card to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Toon from your Graveyard. That allows you to bring back monsters and use them as fodder for BETD or TDMG. However, in order to tone it down, I made it so that you can't OTK your opponent with TDMG the turn you use this effect.

Notes:

Searchable by "Terraforming", "Madolche Buttlerusk", and "Toon Table of Contents".

You must already have a "Toon" in the Graveyard to use the last effect.

you can send itself to the Graveyard if it would be destroyed. That stops Toon monsters on the field from being destroyed by their own effects.

I know the art is from Toon Kingdom, but I couldn't find a better one.

First of all I support your cause in supporting underrated mechanics.
The card itself I like (though the link is broken).
Even though most toon summons are already Special Summons, the extra effect on the field spell is useful for both dead and new cards.
I actually think this card is balanced from the get go.
9/10

This is a really cool card honestly. The biggest problem I've noticed with Toons is they have very little Field Presence and it's hard to fix that with what we have.

For what it does, it's great. Being able to revive dead Toons is a nice bonus. It would have been nice to have something to fix their summoning sickness, but that probably would have bordered the card on bad design. I think it's good where it is now in all honesty.

Great job. ^^

Funny, I also made a "Toon World" Field Magic Card that was ALSO named "Toon Utopia" (actually, its full name is "Living World City, Toon Utopia" because I didn't want to make a pun that took away from the seriousness of the card itself and fit the naming scheme of "Toon World" and "Toon Kingdom"). I wrote it up back in 2008-09. Never made a proxy of it or my other Toons.

Similar effects too.

- Both are obviously treated as Toon World (normal thing).
- Both have something to repel destruction by card effects.
- Both Special Summon Toons from the Graveyard.

However where yours boost their ATK, mine instead protects them from effects (a homage back to the anime version of Toon World) and leaves boosting to other cards. Very similar though. "Great minds..."
