Darkness Comes - Shadow Spirits And Dark Pulse

While watching 5D's again, i decided to make my own version of Dark tuners and Dark synchros. Here is what i came up with:


Shadow Spirits are basically dark tuners. They have high levels and are easy to summon, but have 0 ATK and DEF. They all share the following effect:

"If this card is used for a synchro summon, subtract the Level of a this monster from the Level of 1 or more monsters you control; the value must equal the Level of the synchro monster. This card cannot be used for the synchro summon of a non "Dark Pulse" monster. You can special summon this card from your hand by"

As with the Dark Pulse monsters....i tried to make each of them go with an archetype i made but i tried to make them versatile.

Can be summoned by / if: you control a level 7 or higher monster

Dark Pulse counterpart:

Eff - Once per turn, you can discard one card to target one face-up card of the same type (Spell, Trap, Or Monster). Destroy that target and inflict 800 damage to its controller. When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard, you can special summon one level 5 or lower DARK monster from your hand or graveyard.

Can be summoned by / if: you tribute one pyro monster with 2000 or more ATK.

Can be summoned By / if: you control 2 or more Level 3 or lower fish or sea-serpent monsters

Dark Pulse Counterpart:

Eff - Once per turn, you can special summon one level 3 or lower fish, sea-serpent, or aqua type monster from your hand or graveyard. When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard, special summon one level 3 fish or sea-serpent monster from your deck.

You might want to re-word your little math equation.

Pretty sure The Level of your Shadow Spirits subtract[u][b]ed[/b][/u] from the total Level of 1 or more non-Tuners would typically go into Negative numbers. Let alone still trying to make it EQUAL same as what might be a rather high POSITIVE number. 2 Non-Tuners - a Level 10 Shadow Spirit would mean you have to have whatever you had your two make PLUS 10 to make whatever Synchro you were.

Suppose you really mean:
[b][i]"If this card is used for a Synchro Summon, the total Level of the Synchro Materials (including this card) must equal the Level of chosen Synchro Monster minus the Level of this card."[/i][/b]

Or.... [b][i]"If this card is used for a Synchro Summon, subtract the total Level of the non-Tuner monsters to be used from this card's Level to equal the Summoned Synchro Monster's Level."[/i][/b]


Not sure where you're going, but that's the math equation you're giving and those are how it would be typed.
