Strider Tigerwolf
Lore: Until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn, up to three times, you can negate the Special Summon of a monster and, if you do, banish it. You can activate this effect only once per either player's turn and every time you activate this effect, half your Life Points. You cannot Special Summon monsters while this card's effect(s) are activated, except during the Battle Phase. You can only activate 1 "Gateway Disruption" per duel. Original Intent: Make a card capable of doing "Royal Oppression"s effect without being as broken. Created a Time Lapse for the card similar to the Virus cards, made this card "none destructive" to get around Stardust Dragon, made it only be useable up to 3 times and you can only use it's effect once per either player's turn. Solemn cost if you use it's effect during that turn and negates your ability to Special Summon while it's effect's are active except during the Battle Phase, allowing you to get in Gorz, Battle Fader, Trag, etc.
D.A._Sakuyamon
You forgot to put "Pay" at the half your life points part. The card might actually be under powered with the lack of Special Summoning and it seems you made it with the a subconsciousness intent to be insane with Glads (non-fusions). I could be completely wrong on that part though and if I am you will tell me anyways. Out of glads I don't see it being played but of course there will be decks that will play it. Strider Tigerwolf
Actually, I made it for the intent of Space Ships, though Glads work also. And I didn't forget the "pay" part, I just didn't want anything to "alliviate" that, and so I made it an effect. Also, because halving your life points isn't taking damage nor paying, you can't benefit from cards that could potentially alleviate that cost such as the Life Absorption Machine or One Day Peace. I don't know anything about Space Ships so I cant give an thoughts in regards to that.
newhat
This only hits Inherent Special Summons (Summons that don't start a Chain) and not Summons via an effect such as High Priestess of Prophecy or Monster Reborn. So this only does half of what Oppression does. You can use this to respond to your opponent's Inherent Special Summon attempt, and negate it for half your Life Points. So it's not all preemptive. In most cases you'd use this card if you were already winning and had already done your Hyperion or what have you, same as Royal Oppression. I think it's almost reasonable. One thing: I would make it MANDATORY to negate the first Inherent Special Summon your opponent attempts each turn. That way a player who was behind could throw away cards to burn you down, encouraging intelligent play instead of just shutting down Special Summons. Strider Tigerwolf
It just a "just making sure" thing. And it's okay if you don't know anything about Ships, I just wanted a review for the card itself since it CAN be splashed into several decks. DunnoBro
Inherent limit on itself (running more than one risks dead draws) and overall modest but powerful effect. Don't like the battle phase clause, but it only helps non-meta decks currently, so i guess it's okay.

VictorSempra
I feel that half is just a bit too steep for only lasting three turns and only usable once per turn, it makes it a tad more situational because you could very easily back yourself into a corner with low LP. Strider Tigerwolf
But when have life points mattered in a game of "I win first turn"?
VictorSempra
Because people who play competitively usually have something or other to stop first turn winning.
