There's already a bit of flip-summon support, but this actually gives a teensy bit of viability to things. Tour guide can easily make this, and as LONG as you're able to actually destroy something by battle... Then you can get a free monster/ST pop next turn~ Which puts you in a wonderful position. I was thinking of the second effect as being "Your opponent cannot select a face-down defense position monster you control as an attack target", or something along those lines, but I guess it also allows this card to have some more... power. I don't think they'd ever be tier 1 or 2 or anything, but they may be splashable into some decks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I forgot all the ways how, but it's not like they aren't searchable already or the game has better options. -- Why not have it search for "Swarm"? Maybe just limit it to Level 4 or lower, you won't really have many crazy targets if you're afraid of Evilswarm and Steelswarm and I don't know why you would need to be anyway. -- Why pay Xyz Materials for it? You're already putting a condition trigger on it and THEN all you get for it is one of two two old unused outdated cards and you only get to do it twice, then all you get is a weak-blocker that probably wouldn't have lived long enough to use the effect without pumping, but is it worth it using resources to pump it? I think the Materials would be better to pay for a more worthwhile effect since you only get to do it twice anyway. -- Why not give the card a more worthwhile effect that isn't locked down just to being the servant of two old outdated cards? They don't have a deck or anything and they weren't anything too special before, let alone now. It doesn't make them better to have a card to themselves to search them. Frankly, I think that's [u]a little too [b]"GX"[/b] era[/u] for my taste. All together, I think the card doesn't need to be restricted at all for two old cards that don't actually get anything from it and it doesn't get anything from and it wouldn't go in the Extra Deck if this is all you're going to get out of it. I'd use a better "individual" effect (that could be the one that uses Xyz Materials), to give it a more powerful individuality and purpose. Then I'd let it search Level 4 or lower "Swarm" monsters for free; It could be once per turn, it still could put them face-down, probably even keep the "kill-monster-in-battle trigger, making it a themed Goyou Guardian searcher for Swarm monsters). I'd still also keep the attack blocker. Given what the game offers now in real life, this would just pull it to good (for the theme), not great, not overpowered, just good. I don't think the card (as currently) is worth the Materials to make right now as it does nothing to appeal or stand out for itself. BTW--- This is a list of the targets if it was restricted to Level 4 or lower "Swarm" monsters only (excluding Swarm of Locusts and Swarm of Scarabs. Evilswarm Heliotrope Evilswarm Hraesvelg Evilswarm Ketos Evilswarm Mandragora Evilswarm O'lantern Evilswarm Zahak Steelswarm Caller Steelswarm Cell Steelswarm Gatekeeper Steelswarm Genome Steelswarm Scout Steelswarm Sentinel Steelswarm Sting I'd suggest looking up their effects before deciding that's a lot of targets. Not all of them would be "great" to search for, but having the option can be deeper strategies for the ideas even if you can't use the targets and it wouldn't make the card any more or less powerful, just a better more versatile card.
