Getting an Xyz Monster with no Materials isn't too difficult, and the effect can be used even if it's Summoned through Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation. This goes more or less infinite after you've used Xyz Remora, but that combo requires enough setup that it's not a serious issue.

Well, it wouldn't really break Mermanteans because this would be dead in the hand anyways. Maybe frogs would like this for a dead gachi, because it then searches out your swap frog as well as discard fodder for it. Maybe a random Herpderp WATER deck would like it, or perhaps pure mermails or synchro/Xyz atlanteans would run this. I don't think it makes any loops, which is good stuff, and it is a super transformation target, so maybe ninja mermanteans would become a deck. There really isn't anything too wrong with this card, good job.

Hell, this with bahamut shark. I run bahamut shark in my pure mermails & this would break it. Bahamut > this > add 2. Although it would be dead at times. I have mixed feelings about this card. The combo with bahamut is easy to pull off, but this would be dead until then. 8/10.

Mermails don't make bahamut shark all too often, and this would be super dead in hand. Not worth running in a fast-paced deck like that. What I'm worried about is ninja mermanteans arising from hanzo -> super transformation -> this and a +2

I said PURE mermails. I always make it. Mermailatlanteans don;t Xyz spam. Pure mermails do.
