It's basically a situational version of the Ninja Xyz, with the added effect of being able to used as material. It's a good way to recycle the card, but it's a little on the weak side for that first effect to really be useful. Love the picture though, very epic. The only warrior-type Xyz that freely detaches is Excal, and you can probably make that instead of making this first and save yourself the resources. As it stands, Blade Armor Ninja is infinitely better than this card. I'd bump up the ATK to 2400 to give players a reason to make this instead of BAN. Overall, it's not bad, just not that viable.
