This is one of my first attempts at a realistic card using the card maker, Rai-Kael, Guard of All Truths. It's an attempt at a mid-game set-up big summon for counter fairies or another similar deck.

Card effect -
Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Can only be Special Summoned by banishing 2 LIGHT Fairy-type monsters from your graveyard when there are 5 or more LIGHT Fairy-type monsters in your graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned, both players must play with their hands revealed and their decks upside down. When this card is destroyed by battle or card effect, both players discard their hands and mill the top 2 cards of their deck, then draw the same number of cards they discarded.

Quite a strange effect. All stats seem balanced, but are you hand and deck concealed after Rai-Kael dies and can you special summon this from your deck and graveyard as well? It would definatly be a strange game where everything is revealed. Looks good for a first realistic.

Thanks.

Yes, I was thinking hand and deck would be concealed again, just wasn't sure whether to put it on the card, or if I could with how much text there is. I was kind of considering the same thing with "Convulsion of Nature" that the effect continues as long as the card.

Also, that's why I put "Can only be special summoned". It's really a kind of one time thing, hence why it's a troll/set-up.

It's kinda weird, quite honestly. Agents, the highest tier fairy deck, can't run this, restricting it to tier 2-3 builds. The "hand revealed" and "deck upside down" are just downright weird, and probably won't garner you all too much advantage in gameplay given the hefty summoning cost. When it dies, however, it morphing jars and mills stuff, so I find that to be a bit questionable in terms of balance, but then again, the summoning conditions just make this card really awkward in fairies.

I actually kind of expected this to be something for a more "fun" deck rather than a top-tier meta card. I guess with the summoning cost, it does hinder any real bonuses that come from revealing things. Would you have an idea as to how I might be able to adapt the effect a bit better, summoning cost-wise, and for maybe altering the "when destroyed" effect? I'm open for suggestions and all that.

I suppose so. I personally think you could give the ATK a boost to 27-28, because being a defender isn't very useful. As for the effect, it's not that it's bad, it's just weird, that's all. It doesn't need any fixes, it's fine. For the summoning cost, I'd change it to having 5 fairies but banishing 2 of them so that Hyperion can still be useful. For the effect that happens when it dies, I'd change it to drawing "the same number of cards that you discarded", so that it literally can't make pluses.
