Chief Cotton
Hey guys. I've been gone for a real long time, but I suddenly had the urge to re-work on Red Eyes B. Dragon once I stepped inside my house just a bit earlier (don't ask why, because I don't know). He's always been a favorite card of mine, but I always felt he lacked proper power, so I tried to give him a little boost, yet still trying to keep a balanced power to the best of my efforts, but that's for you to judge. Yes, I'm aware the name should be different, mostly because there are designated support cards for him, but they aren't very good either so let's just let that one slide (-: [s]Artwork is taken from Malefic Red Eyes B. Dragon, and although I should have used the original artwork (because that's what I grew up with), I just thought this was a much more bad ass version of him (yeah, being a little childish there, heh). Plus I didn't even know this card existed prioer to searching up Red Eyes B. Dragon so that's probably why it doesn't seem like such a big deal to me.[/s] I updated the card with the original artwork and a re-worded effect description. Anyyyway, here it is: Lore "You can Tribute 1 DARK monster on your side of the field; Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can banish 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard; increase the ATK of this monster by 1000 ATK until the End Phase. If you control no DARK monster(s) during the turn this effect is activated: Halve the original ATK of this card as long as it remains face-up on the field. If there are no DARK monsters in your Graveyard, remove this card from play." + It can easily be Special Summoned. + On the turn it is Summoned, you're essentially guaranteed 3400 ATK until the End Phase. - If it's the only DARK monster on your side of the field, and if you activated its +1000 ATK effect, its Original ATK will become halved for as long as it remains face up on the field. - If you don't have any DARK monsters in your Graveyard, you must banish REBD.

It's supposed to be written "you can remove from play 1 DARK monster [...]", I'll re-do this card with the change.
Comments and constructive criticism are appreciated! Contributions & Refinements: drcrisis Zaziuma newhat

drcrisis
I guess its an okay card but what makes these "Singles" Cool is a few factors. Creativeness Artwork Grammar How playable How Balanced And this one gets like no creative points at all. Very, very, very generic for an effect. I find nothing interesting about playing this card, but I would if I could as it is strong in the sense of how a deck with this card would work. I see that it is a little imbalanced considering that you can bring out a 3900 beater first turn no problem, thats not reasonable. I like the banish effect, good in combo with stuff like Necroface. But I think if you're going to keep the ability for it to be Special Summoned, that bonus needs to be toned down to 800ish. Other than that I think that you can't go wrong with original artwork, the grammar is fine, it isnt TOO op, but I think you could have put a little bit more creativity. Balance the bonus or maybe add something unique, and you've got yourself a great remake.

Perhaps if I were to tone the bonus down to 1000 ATK points and have the card removed from play once removed from the field?
Zazubat
Well, you're oldschool with your OCG, so I'll fix it for you: "You can Tribute 1 DARK monster on your side of the field; Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can banish 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard; increase the ATK of this monster by 1500 ATK until the End Phase. If you control another DARK monster(s)(I added this cause otherwise it will always be halfed, which I doubt is your intention): Half the original ATK of this card as long as it remains face-up on the field. Anyways, pretty OP, since it's basicly an ATK 3900 the turn it gets summoned it's way too strong. Maybe 1000 ATK or something like that, but not the other. I don't think you would really want to run this card though. Even at 2400 it's not too strong. I also suggest to tone it down to make it DARK Dragon-Type monsters, which would make it less topdecky for it's insane effect. Picture, well it's the original, so this should not be under RC which is not for updates even if it's not an update but a whole new idea. I digress. newhat
It seems OK. It's easy to bring out and you can easily pump it to 3900 ATK, but Malefic Cyber End Dragon is slightly stronger and doesn't need a Tribute--it needs a Field Spell. Perhaps you should replace the ATK-halving condition with the opposite: "Destroy this card if you control no other DARK monsters."
Chief Cotton
Alright, I've taken both of your ideas into consideration, so here's the 1.3 update ;P @Zaziuma: The reason its ATK gets halved is so that you use its effect sparingly. If you keep banishing DARK monsters, you'll: A ) Have no DARKs left in the Graveyard; B ) No DARK monster on your side of the field during this effect ---> halve its ATK to 1200 (you can still use its primary effect; probably useful for a counter if for some reason your opponent chooses to attack him. Does it need to specify "During either player's turn"?). Once its ATK is halved, you could always return him to the hand (obviously not by its own effect) and Special Summon him again. Just note that the +1000 ATK is only once per turn and has a relatively significant cost to it unless using an appropriate deck.
