Gogogo Monsters dont tend to linger on the Field anyway, and Golem already avoids destruction by battle once a turn. Evading Effect Damage is not a main issue in most Decks.

Does it stack with Gogogo Golem? More importantly, does Golem work while Set?

I'm getting sick of Konami making random derpy archetypes like Gogogo, Gagaga and Dododo. It's liek the name creator people just gave up on their jobs.

My hunch is that yes, it would stack with Golem.

And yes, Golem should work when Set. Cards that cannot be destroyed by battle will apply even if facedown, because during Damage Calculation, the monster flips up to check ATK/DEF, and therefore Continuous Effects will apply.
