  1. 1. Think there should be a rule to forbid illegal stuff?

    • Yes, there should be.
    • No, no one really cares.
    • I don't know.

This might be irrealivant. But what i find stupid about copyright infringment is CD's and DVD's

why have CD burners. if copying CD's is illegal?

why have DVD burners. if copying DVD's is illegal?

So why do we have a Card Maker... if card making is illegal?

Card making isn't illegal. Printing it and using it, in duels, might be illegal, but selling cards and giving them away is totally illegal. First off, the graphics aren't the member's creation so he can print them and say they're his, they're only a refreshed version of Konami's made by YCMaker, and it is 10% different as Wolf said. Secondly, selling something that is a copyright to Konami is totally illegal. Can you deny that?

If the person does not get caught, it isn't punishable, therefore, no harm done. Using these cards in a duel is not illegal at all, it is SELLING them alone that is illegal. Giving one away for a soda is not even illegal, because money is not involved.

Oh, and WHY DO YOU CARE? I can steal whatever images I want, post them where ever, and no one can do anything about it anyway, anyone can.

Why do I care? A parent catches his son selling cards not of his own creation, and voila, a parent nagging YCMaker. You can guess what might happen after YCMaker is nagged by at least 2-3 parents. Precaution, precaution.

Wait? your telling me parents would care? They think their kid would be being creative, a harmless act. No kid would take it to the point of being a full scale fake card seller, the card's just aren't real looking enough, they would just sell to friends, and let their friends use them.

The kid would take it to that point. Guess who faked the Duelist Cards of rivermaster and published the faken versions around the forum. Some kid called Jak35. And that's just for points, so guess what would kids do for real money.

Well then parents need to have a tighter grip over there kids and not let them do whatever the hell they want. If theres a problem blame the kid not the company

A parent usually thinks of his kid as an angel. It's not true' date=' his kid might be the nastiest, but some theory is misunderstood, which is: The kid is not [i']always[/i] responsible for his actions.

Steal things from the internet. Been there, done that. Cyberdudes right, parents should be more lenient if things like this won't happen, though only artists care, and artists are people who don't have much political say, so their opinions matter little.

Summary: Guys, in some hypothetical future where the laws of time and logic do not apply, a parent that nobody will ever meet will complain to someone that they don't know about something that they would normally approve of if this wasn't a contrived scenario! Obviously, we should shut down the entire site immediately, since otherwise my nonsensical posts will continue to receive ridicule from everyone that can string together a coherent thought!

I think that sums it up pretty well.

Alright. I think this should be locked by now.

I think this confirms the whole "otherwise my nonsensical posts will continue to receive ridicule from everyone that can string together a coherent thought!" part. >_> Also, this should have been locked before it was even posted.
