Sora1499
To me, no more generic free-draw cards should be made, only cards that require actual interaction and skill, like Maxx "C".
I think we're done harping on him. Shinobi Phoenix
It used to allow you to draw 2 cards. And 2 cards was fine, 1 card is worthless. What it needed was balance, not nerfing. I already gave plenty of suggestions, but except for DA and Zero, everyone else seemed to just be saying to nerf it, and you didn't give any suggestions yourself. You just told him what you felt was wrong and dumped on him about it. Bleaknight gave the suggestion between you two (and only that one for that matter). I still think the card is fine with a little tweaking, but it won't matter if all he listens to are the negative voices scaring him into downing himself. I stand by my idea of making it trigger only from an effect that dumps the ENTIRE hand (not pieces or your hand during the turn) and makes both players draw 2. I would ALSO suggest having the draw only happen at the End Phase, but then you can't really use that tactically, it's a delayed draw, so you can't do anything with it until NEXT turn. It's a balancing act, but not necessarily a good one unless it's not supposed to be tactical.

Miror B
I get where you're coming from in that it's not exactly good design, but it's not worth running at all. So we try and make it worth running without breaking it. So how do you suppose we do that?
Synchronized
So we try and make it worth running without breaking it. So how do you suppose we do that? It's not really possible without changing the dynamic of the card entirely. Mindless draws that replace costs aren't even remotely good design. Infact I'd suggest scrapping the whole idea and starting fresh. Maybe something along the lines of:
After this card is activated: Next time a card(s) is discarded to the Graveyard; you can draw 1 card. You can banish this card and 2 other Spell Cards from your hand or Graveyard with the same name as this card that were sent there from the field; draw 2 cards.
Something like that. It's probably bad but I'm just laying the groundwork for an idea. That way it doesn't replace the costs from the get-go and work as a psuedo-Sinister Serpent. Miror B
It's not really possible without changing the dynamic of the card entirely. And this is my point. This section is for making balanced and playable cards. That's why I responded how I did.
