Bleaknight
If this card is Normal Summoned, it is changed to Defense Position. When this card is manually changed to Attack Position: If it is in Attack Position, target up to 2 other face-up monsters; change their battle positions. This card can attack in Defense Position, and if it does, apply its original DEF -500 for damage calculation. This is the card that primarily introduces the mechanics of my complete archetype, the Full Defense. They are DEF-oriented monsters who can attack while in Defense Position and exploit placing your opponent into DEF. They are a heavy control archetype. If the design pleases you, check out their thread. Comment and evaluate :)
newhat
By itself it's OK as a 1700 attacker, but it's a little slow to kill things. If your opponent has 2 Level 4 monsters, you can eventually switch them to Defense Position and kill one of them, but it'll take a moment and your opponent can just Xyz over it. I think a 1900 attacker would be more effective in that situation. Basically, this card doesn't stand on its own.

Making it a 1900 attacker would imply 2400 DEF and that is far too much for a Level 4 Effect Monster. Anyway its main point isn't beating, it's forcing your opponent into DEF so that you can exploit that condition with the archetype's cards. Check out the full archetype to see how it works.
