[Trap Card]: Loyalty to the Summoner

As it's name would imply, this is a trap card designed specifically counteract effects - whether they be through monster, spell, or traps - that take control of your own monsters. This idea came about through part boredom/part frustration. I'm sure anyone whose played one of the games based on Yu-Gi-Oh where cards like Snatch Steal, Brain Control, and among other things didn't have bans/limits on them at the time will know what I'm talking about.

Effect:

This card can only be activated when the opponent activates a monster effect, Spell Card, or Trap Card which takes control of a monster on your side of the field. Target the opponent's card and negate the activation of this effect. The targeted card is then sent to the Graveyard.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm still trying to get the hang of the OCG, so if you see any errors, please let me know.

Yes, the card's effect itself is highly straight-forward (and rather certain it already exist as written), but the way it is written now is not.  Even using the old-style Grammar text, it would need a re-write, let alone using Konami's now standard "Problem-Solving Card Text" (PSCT).

Either way, a re-write would depend on if this card is targeting the "offending" card at activation or resolution.

Doing the work myself for you it could be:

If at activation:

Activate this card when your opponent activates a Spell, Trap, Spell/Trap effect or Effect Monster's effect that switches control of a monster(s) you control: Target that activating card; Negate its activation, and if you do, send that card to the Graveyard.

If at resolution:

Activate this card when your opponent activates a Spell, Trap, Spell/Trap effect or Effect Monster's effect that switches control of a monster(s) you control: Target that activating card and negate its activation, and if you do, send that card to the Graveyard.

Now, first and foremost, I understand my re-write changes the last effect (sending to GY) to be simultaneous with the negation, but that is I didn't change the causation in that the negation is still necessary for the Sending.  If you NEED it to be asynchronous, just change "and if you do" to "then if you do". It hasn't been used much in the real game, but it should be a proper usage regardless.

For reference, I used Stardust Dragon's text for formatting the condition part of the effect text as well standard Conjunction Text for timing/causation.

There's no such thing as "then if you do", simply it should be changed to "then" if you want it to be two separate effects. As already explained, newer OCG, with the introduction of PSCT includes "and", "also", "then" and "and if you do", which are all pretty different. Everything except "then" means that your effect is considered to happen at the same time, where "then" means that one effect happens and then an other one. Now the card itself is pretty nice, it can get rid of Big Eye easily, and can also get rid of most annoying spell and traps, even though there arn't many left since Konami banned most of them, but there are still a few. That said, your only read thread is really Big Eye, and you can just play Bottomless to get rid of him right away, since this requires an activation at a later state, in which case your opponent might MST your card. It doens't need balance at all at the moment, it's just very situational, which most Counter Traps are, but I don't find it that useful to me personally.
