Iriq
When an attack is declared against 1 of your Monsters, you can Tribute this card, the attack target gains ATK equal to the original ATK of this card. If a Monster you control would be targeted by an effect, you can switch the target to this card.
Comments? Anyone see any use for this card? newhat
This isn't very good. Because it activates at attack declaration, after its effect finishes, your opponent can choose not to complete the attack because you have triggered a Replay. This is similar to the problem with Gauntlet Warrior, but moreso because at least Gauntlet Warrior can use its effect in the Damage Step (when Replays cannot be triggered). Either way, your opponent would generally attack this first. Extending your field in order to block an effect that targets isn't that useful either because cards like Torrential Tribute, Dark Hole and Mirror Force are common. Ah, I see what you mean; it does in fact trigger a replay. Hmm, but your right there as well; the opponent would have to atk this card first because a.) if you tribute it and cause a replay, he wont choose a new target for an attack since the atk of another monster was increased by 900 by the effect of this card. b.) If your opponent would try to attack another monster; it wouldnt be successful, so he would have to get rid of this card first. Taking this into account; what fixes should i apply? newhat
I have no idea. This screams "hand trap", but a generic 900 booster in the Battle Phase doesn't seem fair...
