[evilfusion.topic] Neo Galaxy-Eyes @ Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon

Recommended Posts

...Because they're pretty epic...

Both dragons are super fun to pull out against an unsuspecting Xyz, and are probably most effective against the likes of Utopia, Maestroke, and Zenmaines.

Discuss.

As for the cards...

neoxyzzextratest.png

Effect:

3 Level 8 monsters

When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as any of its Materials: Negate the effects of all other face-up cards currently on the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; detach all Xyz Materials from monsters your opponent controls, then this card gains 500 ATK for each, also it can attack up to that many times during each Battle Phase this turn.

Effect:

2 Level 8 monsters

Once per Battle Phase, at the start of your Battle Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all other face-up monsters on the field, and their ATK and DEF become their original ATK and DEF. During your Battle Phase, if this effect was used this turn and your opponent activates a card effect: This card gains 1000 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase, also it can attack twice during each Battle Phase this turn.

im more happy to see giant killer in there. :') anyways, both very powerful effects. neo is ironically easier to use since theres no activation requirements.

tehcnicly the activation requirement is during your Main Phase. Though I see what you mean.

OP: I am still tying to get my head around how to effectivly play Photon Galaxy, but I did get it out once I think.

When evilfusion.dek was created, there was no Galaxy support, and getting out Neo Galaxy-Eyes took a lot of dedication. So evilfusion.dek focused on combining Photon Sanctuary with Precious Cards from Beyond and by using cards such as The Creator to revive your Photon Dragons.

Oh good, your screenshot doesn't make my loss look nearly as embarrassing. In fact, it looks like I won, since the last thing written in chat says "Giant Killer eff" and your LP going down. :D

According to my screenshots, the majority of my Neo Galaxy Summons used Tragoedia or BLS in almost all the Xyz Summons. That's hardly dedication.

The version you describe is one of the original builds, which I always referred to as "Photon Creation".

evilfusion.dek isn't really a clearly defined term and I'm not sure who used it first. My belief is that it originated as a generalized term to describe the Deck concept I designed, which focused on using Photon Sanctuary to quickly bring out Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, and use it as the Deck's key card. Neo Galaxy-Eyes was the ultimate trump card, NOT the Deck's focus. Me using Neo Galaxy was either to finish with a bang, or to snatch victory from a losing struggle.

To be considered a variation of evilfusion, dek, you must fulfill the following criteria

- The Deck uses Photon Sanctuary

- The Deck uses Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as the headliner of the Deck. Meaning, it's in there to be played as your "ace monster" (anime context).

- Light and Darkness Dragon combined with the above two makes it DEFINITELY a variation, but is not mandatory to be considered one.

The Galaxy support makes the Deck much more solid, though, and I always include them in variations of my original design.

Anyway, that aside, Tachyon is awesome, but it is generally inferior to Hieratic Overlord and Giant Killer. It's LIGHT, so it doesn't conflict with Photon Sanctuary, and they have the same ATK. Thus, if you ever ran Heaven's Strings, you drop that for Tachyon. Except in specific situations, Tachyon is still inferior to regular Galaxy-Eyes and Hieratic Overlord, especially since the RL version doesn't have the anime's "Number" clause, which is the only thing that truly gave it an edge over Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

Neo Galaxy is an epic card. Everything else to be said on it has been said by me dozens of times, with screenshots as evidence.

EDIT: Wait, is the ATK increase for Neo Galaxy permanent? The wording doesn't sound like it only lasts for the turn, just the extra attacks do. I'll double check that, although really, you should never use Neo Galaxy unless you're going to win.

I've always been under the Impression that Neo-Galaxy's attack gain is permanent.

I mean, since it doesn't say till the end phase, logic should means it's permanent.

Also, thank ye for defining the deck more clearly.

Yeah, it seems to be permanent. I've never noticed or thought about it, because I've never seen Neo Galaxy lose in battle regardless of whether it absorbed Overlays, and I've never seen a player or Neo Galaxy live long enough to use its effect twice.

To say nothing of the fact its ATK is so high that it shouldn't lose in battle outside of Honest or Photoknight Paladios (or similar effects), whereas C39's boosts wearing off will leave it vulnerable to counterattacks.
