Pay 1000 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases; if you cannot, destroy this card. As long as this card remains on the field: Place the top card of your Graveyard into your hand during your Draw Phase instead of drawing. This card is unaffected by your other card effects.
I'd just like to say that I've recently gotten back into Yu-Gi-Oh! (about a week or so ago) after a long hiatus (about 3-4 years, approximately). I'm not entirely familiar with metagame Decks nor am I very familiar with the new Synchro/Xyz Monsters. However, I play on Dueling Network a lot, so I have had a little exposure to some meta Decks; I'm not very good at looking at the big picture of things concerning such Decks, though. Ahead of time, I would like to apologize if this card turns out to be horribly broken or something in the eyes of the YCM community.

Now, on to the point: the idea of this card is to basically turn your Graveyard into your Main Deck during the Draw Phase as long as "Insurrection of the Dead" remains on the field. I've made it so you cannot destroy the card by your own card effects (such as "Mystical Space Typhoon"), and you must pay 1000 Life Points per Standby Phase to keep it on the field.

How particularly useful can this card be, and in what ways can it be changed or improved upon? Suggestions, comments, or constructive criticism?

Thank you in advance.

Torn between if this is usefull or useless. While you cannot use cards like Spell Economics on it, you still gain your Grave back in your Deck. Though your effect is broken as you don't get to draw the card before your next turn, and by that time your Deck will most likely be shuffled. Probably not what you were going for here, so change that later on. Now, it adds the top card. Not always very useful, unless you have a good Grave control, such as Elemental or Evilswarm, this will probably be hard to get to use effectively. It's like Convulsion of Nature, very specific situations where something like this would be useful. The last part seems weird. I see no real reason for it to be there. Is it a balance? I mean you can still use the spell for a cost, so it's not that. Why? Also, I would like to fix your OCG, so if you could post the lore, that would be great. Your image fits quite nicely, I'll say that.

Thank you very much for the feedback, Zaziuma.

May I ask what you mean when you say, "you still gain your Grave back in your Deck. . . . and by that time your Deck will most likely be shuffled"? Also, you mention the stipulation of the returned card being the top card. Should this be changed? Would it become broken or overpowered if it simply returned any 1 card from the Graveyard to the hand? I added the "unaffected by your own cards" bit to I guess prevent the card from being destroyed as soon as you get what you need from the Graveyard, I suppose? As I said in my original post, I'm not fantastic at looking at the bigger picture of things.

How would my card be, before I change it, if you could return any card from your Graveyard to your hand (while skipping the actual Deck draw of your Draw Phase, and paying 1000 Life Points at the Standby Phase), but "Insurrection" is unaffected and cannot be removed from the field by your own card effects? How would that work?

Thank you again for the constructive criticism. I've also posted the lore in the original post.

Oh I must have read wrong, I thought it said top of your Deck not hand. The card doens't need that fix now I suppose.

OCG fix:

Pay 1000 Life Points during each of your Stanby Phases or destroy this card. (I don't understand your Semi-colon here as you're not paying a cost, you're paying a Maintenance Cost to keep it alive, those don't use semi-colons)(took this out completely, no reason to have it) Return (Ah here's the reason I thought as such, because you don't say Place, you say "return" when talking about your hand, or when talking about Deck in some cases (unless it's on top or bottom)) the top card of your Graveyard into your hand during your Draw Phase instead of drawing. This card is unaffected by your other card effects.

Thank you for the OCG fix; however, with the first part of the effect, doesn't that imply that you can either pay the 1000 Life Points or destroy the card? Because what I intended was for the card to stay on the field until destroyed by your opponent. In that case, would I simply leave out the "or destroy this card"? Thank you for clearing up the semicolon and "place"/"return" difference, as well.

Also, just to note, my previous questions on my last post still stand.

oh yes, I see your intention. It would be something like this: "Pay 1000 Life Points during each of your Stanby Phases. If you can't, destroy this card."

And for your previous question, while taking 1000 each turn can become a big problem, being able to return any card you want to your hand makes reusing cards again and again quite powerful. If you can find a way to make a ton of Life Points, or quickly finish your opponent off, I find that it will become quite OP for the most part. Though, making a restriction on what you can add might help that, or make it a more worthwill cost, as many card designers on this forum consider Life Points a none issue, and I do too, but not as much, but in this case I do as it can create powerful comebacks.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I haven't updated the card yet, but I would like to post the lore for the next intended card update and receive some suggestions, comments, or constructive criticism on it, please.

This card is unaffected and cannot be removed from the field by your other card effects.
You need to remove the semi-colon ";" othersite you're making it a cost, which it shouldn't be as paying Life Points to keep a card alive never makes a chain. You put the "as long as this card remains on the field" in again, which I said was unneeded. I think it's more balanced now, might still become pretty powerful, but I think I need some other people to help me decide wheter or not it can help some Decks. The spell/trap return I don't really like, you can just keep getting back your Monster Reborn or Heavy Storm, which can change the game in no time. Since you're using a zombie like image, it would make sense to make it support Zombies by making it get Zombies back, it could also mean that it simply gains monsters back as well. Which ever one you like.

This card is... awkward. While it's an interesting concept to turn your Graveyard into your deck (without being stupid like Exchange of the Spirit) it requires one of the most difficult setups ever, and honestly, it's really hard to even use it. But it is possible to manipulate your Graveyard through your Graveyard (A/D Changer, Necro Gardna), cards like those will make it easier to add Spells to your hand. Even if you manage to set it up so that you manage to get something like Dark Hole/Monster Reborn back in the hand, you're still losing out on life points every turn. It's really weird design promoting luck-related victory and OTKs. Also other effects can disrupt any strategy you almost managed to accomplish, for example, if the opponent targets a card in your Graveyard, just targets it, it is brought to the top of your Graveyard, which might ruin your next draw.

tl:dr; No serious deck can, or would use this card. If reusing cards from the Graveyard is required Transmigration Prophecy/Pot of Benevolence would be used, not this card, and there's not even a way to "balance" it, it's not overpowered, it's just weird. If it ever was released it'd just be regarded as a "fun" casual deck and forgotten (like Convulsion of Nature, which is very good if you draw the right cards, but can never get competitive.)

Thank you for the OCG fixes again, Zaziuma. I apologize for the semicolon placement; I've been taking a class in Composition II and been learning a lot about them, so apart from being OCG acceptable, the semicolon in that placement would have been grammatically acceptable. My bad.

Also, when you said it was unneeded, I didn't pick up that it was directed at the "As long as..." bit as it was unspecified. I apologize, and I'll remove it next update. I'll also see if I can't fiddle around with more of the effects. How would it be if I simply changed the "Level 4 or lower non-Tuner monster" to "Level 3" or even "Level 2 or lower non-Tuner monster"?

say hi.

Thank you very much for the feedback, Judαs.

I think you were replying to my older version of the card; meanwhile, I've somewhat improved upon the card in some of my other posts. Now, you can return any card (as long as it's a Spell, Trap, or Level 4 or lower non-Tuner monster) from the Graveyard into your hand once per turn during your Draw Phase, while paying 1000 Life Points. Also, the card is now unaffected and cannot be removed from the field by your other card effects, so hopefully, "Insurrection of the Dead" would become immune to cards like those.
