Mugendramon
F*** you Laggia and Shi En. Could hurt Ophion as well, but 66 complicates that one. Worth as a side card?
newhat
I was thinking of making a Deck around cards with this trigger and Aurora Wing. The net result would be a -1 in most situations that mattered; I'd rather use Ryko, Chivalry, Fiendish Chain or Divine Wrath.
evilfusion
The problem with the card is admittedly a minor one: The fact it's not chainable until mid-Battle Phase or later. So it does nothing during Draw, Standby, or MP1, and therefore is extremely vulnerable to all forms of removal, and you need to have a monster or monsters capable of being beaten in battle by the monster you want to destroy. If a different monster destroys your only monster, you won't be able to kill the monster you want to. It relies on your opponent making specific plays with specific monsters. It's not a -1, though. It's a +0. The monster being destroyed in battle is not a result of this card being used. However, it may be better to use cards that prevent your monster from being destroyed in battle at all, such as Sakuretsu Armor or Mirror Force. It maybe could be decent in a Nordic Deck, as Tanngrisnir, Tanngnostr, and maybe Reborn Tengu if you run it all don't mind something (or themselves) dying in battle. And if you use other Nordic Relics, like Dragnuir (or whatever it's called), you could search this card with it...but that's putting in more subpar support to serve other subpar cards... Mirror Force is simply better. The inability to chain to it, however, is what Leavateinn has going for it.
newhat
Fine, it's a zero. Everything is isolated, lah dee dah. A certain dumb kind of Nordics can recycle this with a Sangan-style effect.
