UrbanStruggle
A handy card that may not be any use at but can come in handy seeing how now and days people like dealing the olde fashion battle damage til your life points are no more then the stalls tatics with "you win the Duel".
Faustian Deal of Tragic Hope! Quick-Play Spell Card If you would lose the Duel when your opponent's card effect that has "You win the Duel" in the (oringial printed) text or when 1 of face-up monster your opponent controls declares an attack and your Life Points would become 0 gain, Negate that card's effect until your opponent's next Standby Phhase or that monster's attack then you gain 500 Life Points. Your opponent can negate this card effect by paying halve of their Life Points.
Before anyone yells out and or declaring "shenanigans" or "broke" you gotta read this: This can be negated by magic jamer, spell drain, dark bribe, the solemn bunch, this card's own effect and etc. This card does not save you from burn damage, decking out, stall decks or, a "whole mess of baddies" You opponent attacks with 1 monster you activate this card then your opponent attacks again well T_T Snice this card has to be set to activate during your opponent's turn many other cards can trash this before it's use!
What?, you thought that I am not in your thoughts?, THINK AGAIN!

Yes it is the marauding captain (Un-armored I susposed . . .) L0SS
It's ridiculous. In what situation would you not pay half your lifepoints? If you're about to win a duel, halving your lifepoints wouldn't make any difference what so ever. If if that wasn't the case, it's still a stupid card that would never be run. You'd have to have very low faith in your ability and deck to use this. It's just cheap, stupid, and adds nothing to the meta.
