It's been a while since I posted a single, so here is one. I think it might need a cost for it's first effect perhaps, who knows, you do probably, cause you're the one reviewing it.

When this card is Normal Summoned while you control no other monsters: You can target 1 monster, except the monster Tributed to Summon this card; Special Summon that target with it’s effects negated, then change this card to Defense Position. When this card leaves the field, except during the turn you activate this effect: You can target 1 monster you control that was Special Summoned an other turn and 1 monster your opponent controls; switch control of those 2 monsters.

Its got a nice feel to it, like you said maybe if you had to pay a 500 life point cost, the card may be more balanced, though it dosent seem to borken to begin with. I can see it being used tonegate some negative effects like gearfried the iron knight or dark elf. I like it and would deffinetly use it.

I think you've sorta missed the point. I'm pretty sure Gearfried and Dark Elf haven't seen play for a number of years now.

As for the card, let's see. A level 5 that with a high defence that can SS another monster and switch it's position. The section that says: "You can target 1 monster you control that was Special Summoned an other turn" confuses me. Another is one word, and I think the wording here is a little strange.

I'd have worded it like this, but as I said, I'm not sure: "You can target 1 monster you control that was Special Summoned (excluding this turn) and 1 monster your opponent controls; switch control of them." It reminds me of Restrict a little, partly due to the artwork, and partly due to the effect. I think it's interesting enough, and could be quite fun to construct a deck around. The control switch thing is always a powerful effect, but you seem to have done a good job in balancing it.

Not really what I'm going for, I simply mean that if it was to be destroyed during the turn it was SS'ed, Cofiance wouldn't be able to use it's effect on it. I'll try to reword it a little bit.
