Revision Challenge: Card 1 & Info Thread (Soul Roots/Roots of the Damned)

This is my little personal challenge, where I go back and remake some of my old YuGiCo cards. This serves as an info thread so I don't have to explain what it's about in every thread. Here's how it's going to work:

-Thread names are named as followed: Revision Challenge: Card *Number Here* (Original Card Name/New Card Name)
-I post the original for everyone to see.
-I post the original lore, also a fixed version (my OCG was crap back then)
-A short reviews/thoughts on the old card (I might not always do this in case it's part of an archetype I made)
-The new card (which is made in either Judas' or Zextra's Photoshop Template for it to look better), this can either be a revised version, or something totaly new. I'll try to keep it close to the original, though expect totaly different effect
-Card Images will be the same, though I might use a different part of the image/scale it better.

As far as I am aware, YuGiCo doesn't give the date of which is was uploaded, so this is not going to be from the first to the last, though I'll try to make it the first cards, and then the later ones after that. I also plan to make the archetypes into new ones instead, as it can be hard to recreate those. Anyways, here's the first card:

Original Lore: Tribute 1 EARTH monster, then add 1 Level 5 EARTH monster from your deck to your hand. If this card is in your graveyard, and there's no other monsters on your field, you can bannish this card, and Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower EARTH monster from your hand.

Fixed Lore: Tribute 1 EARTH monster, then add 1 Level 5 EARTH monster from your deck to your hand. If you control no monsters: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower EARTH monster from your hand.

My Thoughts: I really am not sure what my target was for this card, if it had a Level 5 or lower it might help, but that might it pretty powerful in some cases. It's not the greatest of cards I would say, though that SS might be nice for some cards.

Target 1 Set monster; it cannot be flipped face-up until the End Phase except by an attack. If that target is flipped face-up by an attack: You can target another monster and flip it into face-down Defense Position. Only 1 “Roots of the Damned” can be activated per turn.
