Agro
I've been thinking about this for a while. We all basically know how uber consistent most of the decks are gonna be this format. Most of these, however, have obvious targets for the banlist. E-Dragons will probably need to be hit on all fronts. Prophecy need to lose Judgment, and probably a semi or limit on some of its other consistency cards. Fire Fists need Tenki to be hit and lose the FIRE E-Dragon, among other hits. Verz, while some may disagree given the format it's being played in, probably need a major hit on Ophion. However, Mermails remain an anomaly to me. The obvious hit is Dragoons, which is what gave the deck so much consistency in the first place. However, I wonder if that alone is enough to hit the deck. So I wanted to pose this question: If you were in charge of the banlist in September, how would you attack Mermails?
Dementuo
Sphere/Linde to 2, in my opinion. None of the cards in Mermails are actually "Broken"- They just have REALLY good synergy.
Synchronized
I've said for a while that Sphere is the problem card - more so than Dragoons. Dragoons is horrible design but Sphere is a chainable +1 that can lead to more pluses and pretty much bring the whole Deck together. I'm not even sure Fire Fists need a hit, at least not TCG Fire Fists. There's nothing inherently broken about them outside of Tenki; they're just a really good Deck. Wildflame
As I said, they will probably need 2/3 hits a la Wind-Up/Inzektor. Dragoons, Diva, Megalo, Linde, Sphere, Teus, Tidal. Pick your poison.
mido9
The water E-Dragon and probably the atlanteans. Mermails without the atlanteans are a really neat balanced rank 7 deck that might stay tier 2 at least if the other things were hit.
Superdoopertrooper
Dragoons and Sphere to 1.
Sora1499
Teus gives them most of their massive consistency. Sphere is also a major issue. Dragons is obvious. Each of these to 1 should calm the deck down.
Headmaster Monokuma
Water E-Dragon - 1 Dragoons - 1 Sphere - 1 If that doesn't work, the deck synergizes too well and I haven't thought that far ahead yet. But for shits and giggles let's pretend we're Konami and ban Big Eye and limit the Mermail Rank 7. Then the deck is totally hit and we don't have to give a fuck about it until we release more broken Rank 7's! And to make things better, we can ignore E-Dragons too! Agro
Teus gives them most of their massive consistency. Yeah, it's definitely not any of the other cards in the deck. Also, not that you could just as easily lay a hit down on linde instead of sphere.

Teus is another searcher out of the 3 other searchers they have, and it's the one that allows the deck to do the most
Βyakuya
After finally experimenting with these guys, I can see how people use this concept in many ways. Depending on what gets hit in terms of EDs, it has to be Tidal to be limited. Abysslinde searches out key monsters such as Abysspike or just Abyssmegalo, but I don't see much harm in her. She's most useful with Sphere, so placing it @1 is good. Dragoons can be placed @1; The additional consistency can be toned down. So basically I think most people can come up with a common consensus.
