Lore:

This card cannot be Special Summoned, except from the Graveyard if it was sent there from the Deck. When this card is summoned; destroy 1 face-up card on the field; then Special Summon 1 Rock-type monster from your Graveyard. This card gains half of the ATK and DEF of the Summoned card.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this card, please rate and give suggestions for possible card fix/OCG.

"Cannot be Special Summoned except from the Graveyard, and only if it was sent there from the Deck. When this card is Summoned: Destroy 1 face-up card on the field, then Special Summon 1 Rock-Type monster from your Graveyard, and if you do, this card gains ATK and DEF equal to half the ATK and DEF of the Special Summoned monster."

This is my OCG edit of your effect, though I'm iffy about how I wrote the first sentence.

Anyways, it's slightly on the OP side, since you'd get at least a +2 of its Special Summon (practically more, with how it's currently written, since you can Special Summon a second Craiggan with the effect of the first, and then the second one can Summon a third, with each 1 destroying a face-up card in the process).  I'd suggest adding the line, "This effect of "Craiggan can only be used once per turn." just to give it a bit more balance.

Other than that, seems like an awesome card for Rock Decks, despite being FIRE Attribute (most Rock Decks, from my understanding, focus on the EARTH Attribute).

Yeah when i don't feel lazy i'll get to correcting the effect, thanks for that.

I gave it the FIRE attribute because its... on fire!

I do agree that its op on being able to summon itself, so ill probably make it something like (You can only control 1 Face-up "Craiggen") and maybe also add (This effect of "Craiggen" can only be used once per turn.) effect just like you suggested. Again, thanks for the help! Its highly appreciated.

This card confuses me. Do you Summon this card when it is sent to the Graveyard? Your card doesn't seem to make this clear, as it has not colon to make it clear if it is or not, or if you can just do it whenever, though the way that is written. Now, I'm not a fan of the design of this card as it's creates another reason why Foolish Burial should be banned. Since I'm still unsure on how it's Summoning Requirement works, I am not sure if it's an Effect Summon or if it's an Inherent Summon. This means that cards like Catapult Zone won't be able to set this off, as that card activates during the Damage Step where only Counter Traps, ATK/DEF changers and cards that specificly say they can, can be activated. There arn't many useful ways to do this effectivly, other than Foolish and if you want to play Lucksworn with this guy. It's mandatory destroy effect makes it hard to play effectively, as if you Normal Summon this guy, you might end up not having enough monsters for yourself to destroy, and having to rely on your opponent for cards is never a good idea unless your Deck specificly plays that way. That said, if you pull this off, it can make you gain quite the advantage, you see, you both do not negate it's effects, decrease it's ATK or DEF, make it unable to attack, put it in a specific battle position, make it unable to be used as a Material etc. Basicly, you're creating a +2650 powerhouse plus another possible powerful monster or a possible Material for later. This makes this card quite unbalanced, and since it's effect doesn't require it to be Summoned in it's sometimes pretty awkward way, you can Normal Summon this guy with cards such as Flame Ruler, or some Tokens that allow you to Tribute them. Below I have tried to rewrite your Summon in two ways, 1 is an Effect Summon and 1 is an Inherent Summon:

Effect Summon: Cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own effect. If this card is sent from your Deck to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

Inherent Summon: You can Special Summon this card (from your Graveyard) if it was sent their from your Deck, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.

When this card is Summoned: Destroy 1 face-up card on the field; Special Summon 1 Rock-Type monster from your Graveyard.  This card gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the Summoned monster.

I don't get how exactly it is Special Summoned, is it:

A: After it's sent to the Graveyard from the Deck, you can use Monster Reborn etc

B: Can only be SS'd by own effect, that is it's Special Summoned from the Graveyard when it is sent from the Deck to the Graveyard

A: It's nice, and works with Rockfall Area after which you can Special Summon it, I guess. It can make loops if there are more Craigs in the Graveyard, which is why you should restrict it to once per turn like the users above said.

B: This is just plain wrong. Revival Golem is otherwise poor, and only gets to be SS'd once per turn. You shouldn't be able to make one-card combos to drop Lv7 monsters on the field, then this card could also be used in a weird E-Dragons variant or something perhaps.

--

Being FIRE kind of ruined it. Block Golem is used in Rock Decks and this card blocks its use. :(

The first line is written similarly to Felgrand Dragon's (crappy) Special Summoning condition, except this one's better. Also, I knew I was forgetting something about one of Rock.dek's main aces.

As stated, badly needs to be EARTH in order to compliment Rock decks in any sort of meaningful way. The gaining half the attack thing is stupid and not needed. It practically goes +2 and can summon itself for more. Really needs Foolish though, so it isn't a huge issue. Quite useful, and would give Rock types a nice little boss to splash around the place.

Guys, I already explained that there's a monster which acts like a Double Tribute, while not a Rock, it can get the job done otherwise. I'm just saying.

Overlooked the fact that the second effect activates upon summon, and not just being summoned from the grave. That makes it unbalanced then, as the summon yielding a destruction and a SS of another one to continue the trend is like a monarch on steroids. That definitely needs changing.

Not sure what that has to do with what I said, but yes, it's something that should be changed. But I think that that effect as a whole is still powerful, regardless of if it's only from it's own effect it allows that to happen.

I thought that is what you meant. What did you mean? I agree, it's +2, even if it's summoning condition is fairly specific. I'm sure there is an easy setup for it, even if you've used up a Foolish.
