Gladiator FIST

Yeah. It's been a long time since I've run GB, but the concept is still the same. Sadly, though, the fact that I have no idea what I want to do is still there. T-T

Fire Fist can mesh with literally almost everything, but they are just another one of those archtypes that I never bothered to learn. Bear/Tenki engine is about as complicated as I want to get with them. :O


Have no idea what I'm doing with Tengu. Just kinda got bored and wanted to fill the space.

 

Iffy on the Glad Spells/Traps. I don't remember how they should be distributed.

You kind of seem to be headed in the right direction but you're missing the mark. Here are my thoughts:

 

-2 Gladiator Respite (not needed and can be a TERRIBLE dead draw)

-2 Tengu (He's meh here. There are better options)

-2 Horn of the Phantom Beast (If you're using it on your GBS they're gonna tag out and it'd be a waste. Fire Fists don't need it)

-2 Test Tiger (not used in this build)

-1 Murmillo (you'll never need more than 1)

-1 Chariot (3 is too many)

-1 Secutor (slow, not necessary here)

-1 Heavy Storm (you use too much backrow for this to be viable. Maybe you can find space for it, I don't)

 

+2 Gladiator Proving Ground (the deck doesn't have much draw power, instead it focuses on search power and plussing through effects)

+2 Bottomless Trap Hole (self-explanatory)

+2 Forbidden Lance (Really good this format. It's a staple in GBs cause one of their biggest weaknesses is monster removal)

+2 GB Equeste (He's the reason you don't need 3 Chariots, he recycles them and is WIND for Chidori among other things)

+2 Breakthrough Skill (effect negation is key. This plus your Chariots should be more than enough)

+1 Starlight Road (you need more backrow protection than Judgement can provide. Plus a free +1 on a 2.5K beater with 1 negate is nothing to shake a stick at)

 

As for the Extra Deck:

-1 GB Esedarri (I dunno why you're running 2 copies of what is essentially a vanilla)

-1 Diamond Wolf (running ED monsters in 2s (or 3s) restricts variety)

-1 Lavalval Chain (he doesn't add anything to this build. Like at all)

-1 MX-Saber Invoker (don't run enough Level 3s to make this viable)

-1 Acid Golem (same as MSX Invoker)

-1 Zenmaines (same as MSX Invoker)

 

+1 Stardust (for Starlight)

+1 Papillioperative (she wins games)

+1 Gem-Knight Pearl (gets over the likes of Ophion)

+1 Utopia (Optional. Quick stall plus a beatstick)

+1 Lightning Chidori (Optional. You can make him with 2 Equest, or maybe Equest + Beastiari)

+1 Fire Fist Tiger (Easy to make, short-term effect negation, plus he's a walking +2)

+1 Daigusto Emeral (Optional. A pseduo-Avarice)
