Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

Recommended Posts

I don't think it deserves to be at 1, not at 3, but 2 seems fine. It after all can't do anything to face-down monsters, and if it's effects are negated, it can be beaten by pretty much every card. It is annoying as crap though, but then again so is Compulse, while it cannot be reused, it does the same thing.

Who new staying on the field could be such a drawback, lol.  This thing is on a completely different level than his Neo-Spacian bros, which amuses me somewhat.

Also, he encourages soft locks and is extremely annoying to deal with, so he can stay at 1.

This is a totally different card to Compulse, the idea of Compulse is as a defensive card to either buy you a turn or get rid of Synchro/Xyz/Fusions, whereas Mole just slows the opponent down and if you have another monster as well as Mole.

I suppose you're right, even if "totally different" is a bullshit word when they have an effect that does the same thing, return a monster to the hand.

The bounce is the only similarity, they're generally used in totally different situations and have different outcomes.

Uhm, Mole can bounce face-down monsters. That's another thing that makes it so good. I also love that it doesn't afraid of Catastor. Card is so good. Should be @2.

That's exactly the point, Grand Mole doesn't require that the monster its battling be face-up. Which means if it attacks a face-down, at the start of the Damage Step, both monsters are bounced.

Oh, right, I though it had to be face-up. I thought there was another card that did something like this. My fault, but if it did have to be face-up, I would be right. That makes this pretty powerful, well deserving to be at 1.

Which relevant decktype sets these days?  :T

It takes up your normal summon for each bounce. That's a fair cost for it.

Is it really? For something that can put anything back in the Extra.

That, and it can do this infinitely.  Your normal summon being a cost is relevant only if you're losing, making this card a slippery slope.

Look at how much it's used in competitive play and that'll answer your question.

This card is absolutely phenomenal though and I miss the times when this was considered a staple in most decks.

I'd prefer it at two. It's a take up your Normal summon and return a monster to the hand. Although, let's be honest; this was mainly used with another monster on the field in order to give you a nice direct attack. If it were designed like a D.D Warrior for the hand, it would be nowhere near as bad. Despite this, it isn't really that hard to get rid of, especially in the current format. Bring it to two and let's have it bounce those E-dragons back to where they came from.

Remembers the Reaper Lock. Lovely. Too bad E-Dragons don't care about being bounced. In fact they damn near welcome it.
