tkheezy68
These cards are overpowered for having the effect that: "During your end phase if this card was sent to the grave or banished zone except as a result of battle: special summon it." It means that these cards have to be run over. The wording of this effect needs to be re-worded because right now it means that even if the monsters were used for a tribute, ritual, fusion, or synchro summon, these cards can come back to the field. So besides fixing the wording of the effect, it also needs a cost something like, "discard a monster card from your hand" because right now you get to keep a destroyed monster for free. I'll address the cards separately from now. Blader's effect is to good. The increase of atk should either be decreased to 100 or 200 or the atk increase only lasts till the end of your next turn. Phanlax needs to have a lower atk, something below 600. It's effect that it can't be destroyed by battle once a turn should only activate if it is in face-up atk position Slayer needs a cost to its first effect I.E. Pay 500 life points to activate this effect Code of honor should only be a normal trap card, far too overpowered as a continuous trap Some of the cards need to be fixed up for OCG but other than that I really nice archetype, like the look for most of the cards. The wording isn't a mistake. I intended for these monsters to be honor-bound to the field even if they're used for tributes or synchro or xyz summons (I had this in mind when I put in the warrior-type extra deck restriction.) I believe this is balanced for a few reasons. The cards themselves don't have ridiculous attack power, especially without Shogun out, and with no other way to boost it bar easily destroyable cards such as A forces/solidarity. The afformentioned warrior-type restriction. Although that might not hinder them very much. I can put some thought towards another xyz/synchro restriction, but warrior-type made the most sense at the time. Also, the cards come back during the end phase of your turn. This means that they're proverbial sitting ducks for your opponent to kill because you can't use their effects or use them for synchros or xyz. Additionally, the deck lacks speed. All special summon power is very limited, so building field presence would be slow and methodical. I might consider giving Phalanx slightly lower stats, but I think 1400 is low enough. While I can agree that it is an annoying card (designed as such) there are certainly very easy ways to kill it with 1500 or over beaters. And I don't think code of honor is overpowered in the slightest. It stops battle phase traps and spells, and can negate things like swords/continuous, etc. And of course the mirror force/D prison, but that's what it was designed to do, plus it offers no protection during the main phases. Mr. guy
I just tested this on DN. Me and my friend came to a conclusion that this needs some balancing factor. Here's some ideas we threw around: - If destroyed by battle, they're banished. - Change the attribute to EARTH - Have it only be from field to grave - Have it only be if they're destroyed by card effects. - Have them die during the standby phase visions into the future style This point of errata was unanimously agreed upon: - Have them not be able to be used for synchros or xyz, or at least heavily restricted. tkheezy68
I agree that the "return to the field" effect should only activate when they are destroyed by card effects and only if it sends them to the graveyard. It'll mean they're harder to take out for good but still allows for cards that banish them to still work on them. These cards don't have very high attack power so it's not like the opponent will have a particularly hard time running over them. Another restriction you could consider for the return to the field effect is to have that returned card unable to attack during your next battle phase I personally would make it so that they can't be used for Synchros while still keeping the restriction of Warrior-type only for the XYZ's. Way better warrior support through XYZs than synchros at the moment. Might as well not hinder the cards too much.
Mr. guy
After some testing, I think I've settled on a more fair effect. "During the end phase if this card was sent from the field to the grave by a card effect: special summon it." This allows knight to work and also tributing by effects (such as enemy controller). But normal tributes, detaches and synchro foods don't work, and none of the cards work under macro/d fissure.
