2 Level 6 monsters
If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent. You can detach 1 Xyz material from this card to change the Battle Position of 1 monster on the field. If this card has no Xyz materials attached, it gains 500 ATK.

I wanted to strike a balance between powerful and purposeful. I felt Rank 6s needed a little more of the general firepower that 3's, 4's, 5's, and 7's have in abundance. This is a card that is simple in concept, but allows both tactical and aggressive play. Want to spam it's detach ability to leave you with a 3k beater? You can. Want to switch a card to defence and inflict some damage, then play it with a Gaia for even more? You can.

I'm not the best person for reviews, but I'll try my hand at it.

ATK/DEF seem pretty fair for a Rank 6.
The piercing is nice, and I'd probably save the materials personally unless I need to use them.
I might make a deck teching this, because it seems pretty interesting, and I like the effect.
I'm not really up to date with stuff on YGO, but why would you switch to Gaia? Just keep attacking with 2500 unless you need the 200 boost, and then you'll be left with a 3000 beater.
Erm... Not sure what else to say. Perhaps a tech in Constellars and Photons? (IDK. :P)

That is definitely the alternate art. 

 

 

Why would you switch to Gaia? Just keep attacking with 2500 unless you need the 200 boost, and then you'll be left with a 3000 beater.

Not entirely sure what I meant when I came up with that. I thought for a second you could summon it during the Battle Phase, but that isn't the case (why would it be?).

Other monsters should not penfit from the position change, beaters mostly have low DEF so this give you weaker monsters a chane to runover them, IMO that is unfair. Also, maybe a 3000 pierce is too much for a rank 6, prevent it from piercing when it has no materials, IDK. Other than that the card is all good.

On that account, would removing the piercing effect make it balanced? If I keep the ATK gain, but at which point it is nothing more than a beater anyway. 3K is pretty high, but I feel that if there was such a thing as a Rank 6 version of Gem Knight, It'd have about 3K anyway, so that doesn't bother me.

In my opinion, a Rank 6 monster with temporarily 3000 ATK would be okay, so my idea: If this card attacks an opponent's monster, and it has no Xyz materials attached, it gains 500 ATK during the damage step only.

 

This way you have an attacking monster with 3000 ATK, but as a draw back, your opponent only need to deal with a 2500 ATK one.
