The card is actually pretty good and balanced for the most part. The biggest issue I see here is looping (detaching, SS Darius, Darius eff Xyz this, repeat) but that requires a hefty amount of hand depletion so the banishing is definitely a balancing factor here. Its stats are solid and there really isn't much else to say about it. I could see it being played @1 in most GB variants.

It's not really BROKEN, but it's certainly an enabler and bad design.

 

The fact that it says GB Card doesn't seem like it would make a big impact, but that gives Respite another use if it dead draws ever, and also gives some incentive to run Gladiator Beast's Battle Halberd / Battle Manica. If worst comes to worst, you can always use something like War Chariot or a monster if you think it can lead to a winning push.

 

The summon conditions hardly matter, and the attack is really good for a card like this. Sure, it can't beat over things like Ophion or Big Eye, but considering what some GB's do when Special Summoned, this can easily be played around.

 

I mean, Overlay for this, banish a card, Special Summon Equeste, grab another GB card. Free monster to trigger more GB effects with.

 

Or you can go for Darius, Special a GB, overlay for Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King, set Tenki and get a search from it, along with most likely negating your opponent's cards. 

 

It just feels like really bad design, and if we were in a different meta, busted.
